some retard will give you a lot more than its worth just cause its a Harley.
All the AMF faults will have been fixed by now but its true that 1970 was the worst year ever for 'quality control'
Most of the 1970 models were left overs from previous year or thrown together from scrap bin parts

Are you looking to sell it? The current price for that year and model will depend entirely on mileage, area of the country, overall condition, and time of year. A bike in excellent condition that needs very little or no work, and moderate mileage should bring between $4k and $7k to a private buyer. The reaso is that anyone getting it wil lprobaly have to invest $2 1/2 k to have the engine gone through, and the brakes, electrical and tires, in order to be confident that it's not going to break down on him.

that's a bad year model, it was manufactured when AMC owned then and the quality was very poor.
