If I paid $120,000 for a business in 2006

Goodwill $100,000
Assets $ 20,000

And I threw out $10,000 of Assets throughout 2006

How would I put this on the tax return or financial statements.

Would I still say the business cost 120,000 and put only 10,000 to assets? or Would I show the assets as being disposed of, on a certain date?

Please give advice, basically like this
Good will
Assets
Write Off
equals 120,000

Hello, an agent prepared my taxes two weeks ago. They dont do small business taxes. So i went and purchased turbotax home and business. Filled in my schedule C, but I needed to do my regular 1099, i guess it's protocol. Anyhow, sales for 06 for my business was only $254, is this usually how filing business taxes work, a 1099 with a schedule C seperate from the regular W2 type tax for your job. Is it ok how I filed it?

If this is money that I had to claim as made and I made a home improvement I don't understand why it is not a tax deduction!

Just wondering: When someone is given one of the reality-show furnished homes, who is liable for what kind of taxes on the property and furnishings? What about Habitat for Humanity homes? If taxed, are there tax credits on the labor?

Then company went public stock shot up I held onto shares for more than a year and sold some at $30 per share. The initial Public Offering price on stock was $19 per share my question is do I have to claim a gain of $29 per share or $11 per share? I bought when company was privately held so shouldn't my basis be the FMV of the stock when it was first available to the public? I know Uncle Sam will get theirs I just don't want to give them more. It was 100,000 shares sold

A former inmate of the California state prison states that he worked while in prison and needed to file 3 years of back taxes but doesn't have any W-2's. He explained to me what form is needed, form 4852, but it has the same questions as a regular W-2; like any federal and state taxes withheld, etc. He did let me know that he was making minium wage while incarcerated. I need a little more information so that I can help this person

I have a right to know where my money is going but he blows me off . I have never received a paystub and I think I am being cheated money. At the end of the year I receive a W2 but I will never know if it is correct. Please help me - who can I notify to resolve this?

Turbo Tax has me frustrated as heck. There's a place in my deductions where it asked me to provide how many miles I've driven this year (not a problem), and then it has a box asking for how many miles I drove for the job, and my total commuting miles. And yet when I click on the "More Info" box, it says I CAN'T deduct the mileage I drive to and from work.

SO WHY IS IT ASKING FOR THAT MILEAGE? If I fill it in with the applicable number, I get a bigger refund, but is that a mistake?

Yes, I know--I'm cutting things pretty close. Sorry. I do appreciate any help.
