also how long do i have to claim it if im owed something. is there a time limet or can i also claim for prievios years

You will know if you are entitled when you fill up the return. The bottom figure will tell you if you have to pay or receive a refund.
As long as you file a return for those years (i think maximum of seven years back) you can get a refund if you are entitled.

Find out when refund checks are normally despatched and from around that time keep looking for your refund check in your letter box! If you had filed your tax returns online, then check whether your submission has indeed reached the revenue department with your particulars and correspondence address in tact!

It goes year by year, and you'll only know if you're due a refund by filling out the form. But...you're running a little late, it was due Apr. 15th!
