I'm a single-filling college student and made around 7,500 last year. I paid in state and federal, but will I get that all back? What is the cut off for a student whose parents still claim them as a dependent?

I am interested to set up a UK Limited Liability Partnership. I am not a UK resident (though EU National). Two questions:
1. Am I subject to UK tax in such a case?
2. Suppose the answer for 1 is "no". How do I withdraw money from the LLP without paying any taxes to UK authorities? Do I just transfer it to my personal bank account?

Thanks.

I have filed an original 1040 last year for 2005. Then I realised that I forgot some info, then I filed an amendment (1040X).
Again I found out that there's still more info that I forgot.
Can I file a second amendment?

I am single. I filed with NY as a non-resident. I calculated my taxes with Turbo Tax and it says I am to receive a refund from NY and owe to NJ. Do I need to file both a NJ tax return and a NY? Thanks. The tax software is only allowing me to file one.

I have not worked in a city where local taxes are deducted from my paycheck in about 4 years. This year I recieved a paycheck from a previous employer from some lawsuit they had going and I paid 3.00 in city tax. Do I have to file a city tax return for that tiny amount? And if so how do I file if my husband is filing for a different city, but we filed our federal and state returns as joint?

I own a rental house. I bought the house so that friends of mine who already lived there would not have to leave when the house was sold. I only paid $50K for it and it was appraised at a little over a $100K. I have owned it for almost 3 years. I have always charged the couple the price of my mortgage payment so I have never made a profit. Now that the husband has been diagnosed with cancer, they are not able to pay the full amount so they pay about $150 less than the actual mortgage payment. TurboTax has indicated that the government may subject me to special rules about how I claim my deductions unless I can prove that I intend to make a profit. TurboTax says that the IRS may believe that I am charging a special rate because they are friends/relatives. It doesn't tell me what those rules are. I need to know what those rules are & what kind of deductions I can take. I need to know if the fact that the property value is so high is sufficient to show that I will make a profit.

I just got back all 4 w2 forms from 2006. I received unemployment , for about 6 months then I worked at the mall for 4 months and on that w2 form it shows federal income tax with held to be 100 $, then I worked at Target part time for about a little over a month in a half and it shows federal income tax .07 cents and now at my current job it shows federal income tax withheld 0 $. I called my boss and asked why and he checked to see how many I claimed and he said I claimed 5 which I never would have the form must of either gotten filled out wrong or a mis print. So my question is will I owe back taxes? I have a 5 yr old daughter and I am married but we didn't live together for 11 months last year.So will I owe taxes or get a refund as usual?

I sold and purchased a home in 2005-however, I was not able to utilize deducting the interest or any other deductible because my CPA explained I have such a small taxable amount-my deductions wiped everything out. So, I didn't owe taxes-but received no refund. I should also mention my date of disablity is 2003 and I do not work. Does anyone know of any tax law(s) in reference to disabilities and mortgages?

Also the mailing address for Ohio is just: Kansas City, MO

Does that make any sense to anybody?

P.S. Don't tell me to e-file as a solution.
