maybe, but you generally would need a pretty good reason why you didnt file over the last few years. why have you never filed taxes if you are so keen to get the money back? you should always file taxes if you have earnt an income. even if you owe them nothing, you may still be able to get something back. and if you file over the internet, it doesnt cost you anything.

You should definitely get yourself an accountant, and not a piece of software. You still are required to file taxes, even if you do not owe money. Unless all of your jobs have been under the table, you could get in trouble for not filing taxes.

you've no longer something to rigidity about - you do not ought to document for both of those years - you probably did not make adequate funds to ought to. For 2007 the reduce is $5350 - it change into fairly a lot less for 2006. so that you're literally not in any difficulty for no longer filing. yet when something change into deducted for federal income tax, you could document and get it refunded to you. it truly is authentic for 2006 besides as 2007 - see you later as you do not owe something, and also you do not, there is no penalty for filing late, and in case you document interior of three years you nevertheless get your refund. If no longer something change into withheld for federal income tax, then there is no reason to document both year.

3 years is the limit for getting money back.

Sometimes that's the only reason to file if you are below the amount of income that is required to file.
