YOU would then be in control over the amount you pay for your Fed. taxes. The taxes you would pay would be determined by the cost of the consumer item. If you didn't want to pay the higher tax on a $200 pair of shoes you would have the choice of choosing a $25 pair with the lower tax.

Your courteous opinions appreciated.

I started a business in 2006, I had business expenses, but haven't sold anything . Can I defer my deductions until the 2007 tax year when I will have business income? My business is a used car dealership. I have spent about $3,000 on supplies, training and other expenses. I have spent $4,000 on inventory (2 cars I purchased in Dec 2006). I haven't sold anything to count as business income in 2006. Can I take these deductions this year, or do I defer them for the 2007 tax year (If that is allowed)? [I'm refering to Federal Income Tax.]

Another question: I have a Fed EIN number for my business, I haven't yet filled for LLC, but will do this in the next week. Do I file 2 separate tax forms for my personal income and my business income?

My husband and I made $20,470 this year combined. I have two children. My little girl is two years old and my baby boy is two and a half months old. If he claims head of household as well as me and my two children on our income tax, how much will we be getting back, approximately? Any help is appreciated.

last year i was so busy with everything, i was going to wait to do my taxes, which i called the IRS and they told me as long as i didnt OWE anything, i could file at any time and not have to get an extention since i didnt OWE them anything. well i left out of town, and everything including my tax return forms are in storage. i planned on doing them when i returned home but have been here for ALOT longer with my family. im not sure when im going to be going back, (i move around alot for business) so i basically just pay my storage cost. well this year i really plan on filing my taxes as soon as my documents come in from previous employer because i know i am getting alot back, last year really wasnt much so i didnt worry to much about it, well someone jsut told me that because i didnt file last year, if i dont file those taxes THIS year from last year it will go on my credit, is that true? i NEVER owed anything, just got money back. cant i just file this past years taxes.?
