breaks [I've heard] to come to this area... But anyway, the only viable jobs in this southern town are Walmart or flipping hamburgers... Luckily, I am a almost 62 year old single again male that has “while you sleep” income that covers my current basic living expenses [shelter, food, clothing, cell & DSL and $8 Rx co-payments]. I don't own a car yet [the X got that] and I have no child support payments... My son takes me to the store once a week and to church on Sunday when he and his wife decide to get up. The first of May 2008, I should be receiving social security if somebody in the Bush doesn't decide to pull the plug on that security blanket... This should add another $800 - $900 monthly to the “while I sleep income”... Oh yes, I should tell you that I have a annoying disability of not being able to stand on my feet for more than a half hour...Having said all this does anyone have suggestions of raising my standard of living giving these circumstances?

I will be providing the credit to get a $500,000 loan to purchase a property. Profits will be used to pay for my loan. I also have the credentials and knowledge to run the business. I will be working part-time. The other partner will be providing cash capital ($200,000) for startup costs. That partner will be working full-time. What would be a fair means of dividing ownership? Salaries? Any suggestions are appreciated.

My boyfriend is saying that when a small business "writes off" tools or clothes for 'work' they will get that full amount back at the end of the year. I am saying that they will receive a percentage of the taxes paid at the end of the year. Is either one of us correct and is there a website that states the rules of "small business write off"?

Good day,

I'm planning out a new business that will be Incorporated in the State of California. I was wondering if anybody has a few good leads to a loan for a new startup Incorporated Business with no credit history, where the only person behind the corporation has poor personal credit.

Thank you for your help in advance!

I am a self employed hair stylist. I rent a chair in a salon from someone, and keep all the profits from clients. I pay taxes and social security, etc. throughout the year.

I had my taxes done professionally this year and the Tax Acct told me that I should set myself up as seperate company and get a payroll service to pay me. He said I could save $3000 per year in taxes this way. It would cost me abt $900 to get him to set this all up.

What do you guys think? Does this sound like a good idea?
