I make colorful dangly earrings and charm bracelets/necklaces, felt cupcake pins, and other cute little accessories.

I would like to have the word "cupcake" in the title somewhere, maybe? otherwise, i have no idea what to call it. what would sound appealing?

It seems like they don't realize the harder they work the more money we make and the more we can give to them.
We just had a meeting and we are trying to find something else than bonuses, to motivate the employees.

My husband is a independent contractor and did a job for this company over 2 months ago. Now they say that they can't pay us untill we provide insurance info. Which we did and now they say it has to be workers compensation, not liability which is what we have. Can they do that even though they didn't request this info prior to doing the work, and only bring it up when its time to pay?

I hear of people starting their own businesses on their computers. What do they actually do. Do you have any ideas for a young single mom trying to make ends meet?

We have a small side business selling chemicals that I set up as an S corp. My husband has since accepted a job with another chemical company. He wants to keep our company going, even if it is basically in name only and to keep a web presence (we advertise his current company on our website).

We won't be selling chemicals through this business anymore - all leads collected through our website will be given to his current employer. However, I have started an at-home data processing business and would like to use the business to collect payments from customers so that I can avoid giving my ss# out as a contract employee to lots of people.

I want to simplify the taxes, what kind of corp would be best? I would like to be able to buy a regular tax software to do our taxes every year. We live in Florida.

One of the 'additional' paypal merchant services they offer is called 'Virtual Terminal' which allows you to take credit card orders over the phone. They charge an extra $20 a month for this.

What is to stop me however, simply taking customers' orders over the phone, and entering their details into my standard website shopping cart (e.g. simply doing the checkout for them)? - thereby not having to pay for the extra service.

Is there something illegal, or against PayPal policy in this?

If you met the partner of your dreams and (s)he lived at 400 miles away, would you move if it meant having to start up a new business in an area you knew little about...and leaving behind family and friends (if the partner was unable to move to live with you)?
Or would you just forget about it and hope to meet someone else eventually? My business used to be the only thing that was important to me and I'm terrified of putting anything else first, especially a relationship, in particular as it may mean having to leave behind a successful business in someone else's care.
