I am starting an on-line jewelry and diamond company and I need a name. I live in New England, so a name that makes people think of the tradition and history of this area would be nice. Any ideas? Please - serious suggestions only.

I am working on QBK Premiere 2007. The company manufactures and sellls bath and body products. I am setting up the inventory items. The company sells 5 different products, but they come in many different scents. should I set up an inventory item for each fragrance or for only the items? (i.e. body wash, citrus, summer rain, winter white etc...) I know the answer will be "only if you want to track sales & inventory very detailed, by fragrance." But my question is this, should I? Is it important for re-stocking that I inventory by scent?

In 1999, we opened a business in the US and by the time 2000 rolled around we were basically bankrupt. We closed the business and moved back to our home state. The sales taxes due for the business was not paid in due manner and we owed nearly 4,000. We made several attempts to set up payments with that state and were told by different people that it had to be paid in lump sum. In the meantime, the total was gathering interest. Three years later we came into a settlement of 4,000 and decided to pay the state the business tax we owed. We contacted a lawyer who suggested we write a letter of abadement (sp) and enter our plea in the letter to be free of the interest. The state cashed the cashiers check but we never heard back from them. We called after several weeks and were told we still owed the interest and penalaty on top of that, and that they were compliing interest upon the interest. Should we just forget it and include a letter in my husbands credit report?

All these items are made by children, women and artists who are trained by non profit organisations in India to help them support themselves financially. Some of the items are paper gift bags, serving trays, minutely hand embroidered cushion covers, wall hangings, brass carvings depicting daily life in villages and many other such hand worked creations.I would like to help them find a market outside India so we can get constant orders to help them improve the quality of their life.

I have registered a single employee corporation, which is based in Texas. I provide consutling services in the software field and my clients pay my company on C2C basis and I have to pay all the taxes.

I am new to this. So I would like to take some suggestions from the forum. I've been reading the differences between S and C corporations. As far i understood, it looks like C corporation has to pay more taxes. Should I change my corporation to S?

I run a business that primarily helps small & medium size businesses more effectively manage their accounting function. Typically I visit them once a month, for 2 - 5 hours, but I will also get phone calls, and emails, and requests for that extra 15 minutes of help during the month. If I purchase a yearly subscription to LOGMEIN - which will cost me around $1000 - I will be able to remotely access their computer and work towards resolving their problem. This is great for me as I do not have to waste time driving to visit them, and some problems can be resolved using LOGMEIN very quickly, however, over the phone, or via email they can take a lot longer.
If I offer LOGMEIN can I pass the costs onto the client, as an additional cost, and if so how much would it be reasonable to charge them. How much would you pay for that support?

I charge AUS$100 per hr for a 2 hr minimum callout charge, but using LOGMEIN, I may only assist them for 15 minutes - is $25 fair or can I charge more?

I am leaving a company and I have purchased things through the company on a personal account. They are saying I need to pay it off before I go. I cant do that without breaking myself financially to the point of being homeless (I owe over $600). Can they legally deduct this from my last paycheck or should I just tell them to f themselves?
