I am starting a business/foundation to help women start their own business, and I will personally offer collateral-free loans to assist them. I need ideas on a name for my business. All names are welcome. ;-)

Is it required to file the actual paperwork to start a business to be able to open a business bank account.

Do banks actually verify that the name of the business you are using to open the account actually exists and/or is registered to you?

If you have some sort of business LLC, S-Corp, etc. and people make out checks to that business's name, what is the procedure for cashing the checks yourself. Since they are not explicitly made out to your name.

I have an idea for my own business, a recovery and refreshment center. It is a place where people can come and take classes in personal enrichment and intellectual stimulation, there will be a coffee shop, a stage fore performers on friday and saturday night, or for films to be shown, in back there is a chapel, a nap center and a labyrinthe. perhaps maybe I could rent out offices for counselors. There would either be a membership fee or a drop in fee. do you think it's a feasible plan?

I would like to sell my candy baskets to local small businesses in my neighborhood (in CT) and need some pointers on how to go about it and get some results. These are Valentines Day themed, and I'm afraid of getting stuck with 100 of these and no buyers.

A formal customer satisfaction/loyalty program is being implemented for the first time in the company, hence any tips, do's and don'ts in this regard is appreciated. If you have had any experience working with vendors offering this program vs. tracking this via internal resources, I would love to hear from you. Thanks.

I have a business in which one partner wants to leave & wants me to buy him out. He has minority shares of the company. I will continue with this business after he leaves but want to know what the fair value is for his shares. How do I go about determining what I owe him for buying him out?

I need to know what are the regulations and the laws I have to abide in terms of this approach. Is it possible to sell alcohol over the web. I know that its more difficult to sell alcohol in the US within the US over the web. But what if the website is a foreign website? I know that the rules and regulations of importing these things to the states abide to some rules. That is not the big issue. My main concern here is the website. Can a foreign website sell alcohol to teh States even though they abide to standard export laws to the states?

I am thinking of starting to sell my homemade baked goods at the local Farmers Market in my small town. Everyone always enjoys my baked goods and I often get requests from friends and family. I have a 7 month old baby, so I thought this might be a good way to make some extra money from home, doing something I enjoy.
I know that I will make banana bread, but I am not sure what else might go over good. The only thing I am not so hot at making is pies, other than that, I can make it well. I also am thinking to go with organic ingredients, they seem to be gaining in popularity. I would really apreciate any advice, tips, and maybe some words from someone who has experience in this field. Thank you.

Minimum wage is 5.15. How much should I ask for?
$5.15 seems excessively low.
