our apt manager who we are having issues with will not give us the name of the company who manages the property. is she allowed to withhold that info from us? we do not owe the apts money never been late on rent at all. and never caused problems. we had a problem with maintanance and our neighbors busted our window to the living room, and then our car stereo was stolen, so we talked to her and she was literally screaming at us for no reason. we asked her for her boss's number and she said no she wont give it to us so we asked for a copy of our lease, it says bmg managment but we have googled it and cant find the number to them. what can we do about this we need to complain about her to the property owners and she refuses to give us the name or number!???????

Like most Americans, I got caught up in the housing boom and totally over borrowed on my home. I took out HELOC’s to buy a Harley Davidson and a boat about a year ago. I can’t really afford my payments right now as it is and I just got a letter saying that my ARM is resetting in March (I never bothered to read the loan agreement I signed) to find out that my housing payment is tripling next year!

I just caught wind of the government’s plan to freeze interest rates on the housing market. Does anyone know how one signs up for this plan? I would like to lock in my rate before Christmas if possible since I am planning on buying a new Lexus for significant other as a surprise this year.

The good news is that rates early this week hit the lowest point since mid 2005 with 30 year fixed rates to be had for under 6 Percent. This is huge, as over the last 50 years there are very few times that rates have dropped to this level. I can still remember fixed rates in the 80's of over 15 Percent. What do you think that would do to your housing expense and disposable income?
The employment numbers which were released this morning were much more positive than anticipated. This has put pressure on mortgage backed securities causing their yield to rise. This movement has increased rates a little, but still leaving us with historically low home mortgage interest rates. The 10-year bond is currently up 20 basis points from Monday of this week, trading at 4.08 Percent -up from 3.88 Percent. Our feeling is that despite the market gyrations we will enjoy these favorable rates over the near term, making this a great time to purchase or refinance.

I mean, how much you have to pay tax for it and how much of it you can deduct for tax (like condo fee, property tax,...)
And what happens when you sell the condo after? You have to pay extra tax again since you made money out of it?

I couldn't write much because of the space provided above! I moved into my apartment set up Electricity service. I did not receive a bill called the company they said my service had been cut off. I resolved the problem found out someone in the apartment complex had set up new service under there name with my apartment #. I let the apartment complex know. They explained that there was nothing they could do because they did not deal with the electricity. We got a knock on the door from the lady who had made the mistake with 4 bills she had paid for our apartment. She has not been paying electricity under her apartment because the complex has been paying it and did not know. We had to transfer our electricity service to someone we did not want to because of her mistake plus pay two start up fee's. What do we need to to do? Doesn't seem like the apartment complex wants to get involed and I don't want to pay the lady. I've been through hell trying to get this resolved! HELP!!!!

I have been living in my apartment for 4 years and in September I had to find new roommates. one of my roommates is perfectly fine. she pays bills on time and contributes to the house.the other roommate moved in and he has extreme emotional problems. we believe he is depressed. he has paid rent on time but has forgotten twice since Septemeber to pay utilitiy bills. he does not help out around the house AT ALL. he does not shower (once evey 10 days). he is in law school and he does not go to class, he does not work. he sleeps all day. he is extremely socially ackward and i just feel that since i have been living there for the longest and even though we all signed the lease, he has not contributed to the house, utlitiy bills have been late, he smells awful. The landlord came by last week to fix his door and told him about the smell from his room and keeping his room clean and even after that he has not showered. what are my rights as a tenant to remove him.
