I was so sick for a few days that calling in to work was the last thing on my mind, so obviously I lost my job there, which I was quitting soon because they refused to move me part time. Let's just say there's some bad blood there and i'm still so sick I can't even get out of the house. Is there any way I can have someone go get my paycheck for me? Is that allowed? I would call but I can barely talk my throat is so sore!!! I need the paycheck because i'm quickly running out of money for food!

This is my first time doing this... I'm 22 years old and this is my first time doing this, my dad will not let me learn how to drive because he is afraid I'll crash the car, neither of them will let me learn how to cook, and my mother threatens me with physicla violence every time I try to quit my job which consists of me sitting around for 8 hours a day doing absolutely nothing and collecting money from the boss.

I'm moving at the end of February to Las Vegas. I've moved several times before, and I always seem to forget something. I have a job waiting so that's not an issue. I figure I'll just need rent money, food money, and about $250 in safety money. I don't have any bills to pay except my cell phone, but my job will cover that. Am I forgetting anything? Any other suggestions I should use?

Sallie mae student loan: what is difference capitalized interest & accrued interest?

my capitalized interest is 1,941.50

and my accured interest is $78.42 (it went up in 2 days, weird?)

what does this mean? (this was my first original question--that was answered)

i was told it meant: When Sallie Mae 'capitalizes' your interest, it means they have taken the interest that has accrued on your loan and adds it to the principal of the loan.

MY QUESTION NOW: should pay the accured interest so it wont be captialized, right?

Do you know what is approximately a normal amount of money to have in your savings/checking account?

I think lots of people don't like to keep much cash available in a savings/checking account -- instead they prefer to put it in investments like stocks, bonds, mutual funds, retirement plans, etc.

But you still have to have some spending money available, of course, so I was wondering what's an average amount to have? Do you have any idea?

I've heard reports that the the average household is $25,000 in debt. I am constantly amazed at this and would like to know how they allow this to happen. Does the phrase "living within your means" mean anything? Personally, I've never had any debts and pay as I go. I have a house and car that are paid for. If I need a new car, I save until I have the money before I buy it - and my take-home pay is about $33,000 a year.

I am a compulsive buyer. If someone was selling air I would by it. I have a bad habbit of double spending. Meaning for $100 dollars, I would buy something for $60, then turn around a spend that hundred. You know how it goes with your ATM card. I tend to forget about the other purchess. I need help. I am so far behind in bills I can't see a light after the tunnel. ( P.S. excuse my spelling)
