Hi I was looking for a Nintendo Wii and found someone who lives about 100 miles away from me I asked if he could post and he said he could once I have paid in full via moneygram. Is this safe I don't know this person is there any protection if I don't get the item

There is no protecting for you once get gets the money. I work with a company similar to money gram. If you send the money on his name and once he picks it up you can't go back and tell them you made a mistake.

my father usually sends me money through money gram and its a very reliable way of sending money. however, it seems a little sketchy to do so with someone u dont know. i would have my reservations, especially since he recieves the money first before sending the package. try to find another way of payment.. or just go to ebay and buy one!

I use MoneyGram all the time as does my husband and we have never had a problem. It's much cheaper than Western Union, just not as well known.
