I recently was trying to purchase a car, using a money order. Now i changed my mind and I want my money back. Can i get my money order back and take it to my bank and deposit it back into my account?

I agree. Get the money order back, sign the back of it, "Not used for purpose intended" with your name below it, and take it to your bank. They should deposit it, with no trouble.

Check with your bank how to endorse it.
Generally, you mark the back "Not used for purposes intended" and sign your name and deposit it.
