I graduated from my undergrad. school with $40,985.99 in debt (private liberal arts). I'm currently working on my master's degree in library science and estimate that, when all is said and done, I'll owe back $26,325.00 for said degree. My husband, on the other hand, owes around $37,649.61 for his undergrad. degree, making our combined total a whopping $104,960.60! We're currently paying back all of the undergrad loans even though I'm in grad. school and only working very part-time (monthly combined payments are currently $974.13). We pay this money back comfortably, however, and only have around $2,000-something worth of credit card debt on top of typical monthly expenses and car payments, etc. My husband is fortunate enough to make around $93,000 a year, while I'm unsure of what my earning prospects will be at a library, but hopefully I'll be in the $35,000 - $40,000 (?) range after a few years in the field.

Is this debt too much to our income? Are these figures normal for two?

I was on my way to work when this guy was standing in the street with a folder and told me that I could save money on home appliances, but I had to fill in a form.

I gave him my name (false first name) and false bank details. reason for that was because of identity fraud.

He did not show my terms and conditions of the service he was providing.

Am I in the wrong to provide false bank details?

I have brought 4 S.D cards all not as described, I have asked for a full refund, their reply was send us back the items and we will send you the money, obviously I am not that silly as I got ripped off in the first place, their 2nd reply was to give them my paypal account details - how do I do this and is this a wise move, if I give them the details, could they drain my account ?

I read that, according to the Social Security Administration Act 1992, banks are not allowed to take charges from benefits money.

If the bank fail to comply with this, will the Financial Ombudsman deal with the case immediately?

It sucks.
I'm in the time were you're too young to get a real job but too old to do stupid jobs (cleang cars etc.) for parents.

I need to earn $200 in 8 weeks. I'm fit, so anything labourwise is okay.

Thanks!

I am due to get a medical settlement check for $20K in the next two months. I have around 5 creditors who know the situation but each of them call me several times a day - EVERY DAY - all day. Because of late fees and penalties, the low balances I had have shot up to $200. They have advised me NOT to use a credit counseling service. I have asked them to stop the late charges etc.. but they are not willing. Can't credit counseling services help reduce these balances and finance charges? I am on permanent disability and we have had immediate family illnesses, a death and an aggravated assault since March. NONE of these creditors have wanted to work with me.

We live in Northern Virginia. We are married with one daughter and have a joint income of $170,000. We both max out our 401Ks. Our "profit" from selling the house would be about $200,000. This is our first house and we've been here for 5 years. (If we do this, we would live in my parent's second home and only pay for utilities.)

i am 25 years old and have been out of college for 3 years now. I am a cpa in san antonio and have been doing very well for the past three years. I really want to buy a corvette z06 within the next three months, and would like to hear the opinion of people that are out in the real world like myself. I bring in 4200 dollars a month net, and will be getting a raise next april, when i will net around 5000 dollars. I have my own house and have 26 in savings, and another 30k in mutual funds, and about 10k set aside for the car. I also have a 300zx that is in great condition for a trade in(ask dealer for a quote, they said 8-9k, trade in) My father thinks it would be a bad move and would stretch me to thin. I know it would make money tight, but i am single with no relationship in the works, so all the money i make goes towards me. Also i have 23k in retirement already. would someone in my position purchase a 65k car?

The domain etc was in his name so I have no proof of ownership. I invested more than him. I did get a return on my investment, but shortly after he basically told me to bugger off. I was doing half the work. I came up with the name of the website. Got msn messenger history for proof of conversation. Got backups of the website at the time to proove I had access. I came up with the website name.

I feel I should have got more money than I have. What can I do about it? Is there any way I could get ownership to half of the website as that's what I should get seeing as I invested more than half the money.
