I'm purchasing some sheet music over the Internet from Sheet Music Plus and I selected the "purchase a money order or send a check" payment method. At first, I was going to just write out a check like I usually do. But I just remembered that I don't have enough in my checking account, so instead of transferring, I decided to use this opportunity to do it this way.

I am sick of the daily guilt trips my family puts me through. They always use the excuse of money this, money that, and how I never do anything right and that I will never amount to anything. I am trying to improve my life here, and all they do is hold me back! I am 18, and desperate to move out, as quickly as possible. As far as money goes, I do have a job but it is not as high paying as I need. Where do I get some money to pay for tuition and books, a cheap mode of transportation, and some shared room in a house? I figure I will need maybe 10 grand total. I wouldn't even mind a loan from a bank... so if you know which one would give me the best loan, please tell me! Share your experience as well if you went through this, it will be interesting to read and a good insight. Thanks for answering!

She must be a number of months behind. I asked her why she didn't sell it and she said the car isn't worth as much as she owes and she said she couldn't legally sell it anyway. I don't think I'm going to bail her out like she's asking... but what financially.. what is her best bet? Should she turn the car in... get a bomb and pay off the difference she owes?? or what?

My boyfriend has bad debt, and cannot deal with the collection agencys abuse. He has been given different options from different people. I need to know whats best for him.

I contacted American Credit Foundation http://www.debtguru.com/ which is a non profit credit counciling foundation that has agreed to make a payment plan so he can pay back the 2 creditors he owed. I figured this would give him a chance to build his credit back up.

On the other hand, his dad is telling him to just claim bankruptcy. he tried telling my boyfriend he would still be able to purchase a house within a few years.

Whos right, whats his best options.

How do you decide who pays what? Do you have a joint account and have one person pay the bills? What about the difference? I just started back to work after my baby turned 1, my husband and I are having a hard time with money management. He thinks I don't pay enough bills. Please share what has worked and what hasn't worked for you. Thanks.

I see their ads all the time, offering to slash debt in half and such. While I applaud these services for what they are trying to do, somehow they have to make money, or they couldn't afford to run these ads. Where is the profit coming from.

Appreciate the answers in advance, thanks!

It is said that most people burdened with huge amounts of money frequently end up broke, squandering their money in various ways. One Lotto winner bought a truckload of marijuana and was caught, thereby losing his fortune. Another made bad investments and ended up without a dime. If you suddenly became filthy rich, what would be your immediate goal?

I want to open an interest-earning online checking account. I've heard nothing but good things about ING Direct but Charles Schwab is offering a higher interest rate. I'd like to hear from current customers about what you think of the banks' security, ease in transferring funds to and from your linked "regular" checking account, and customer service. Your advice is greatly appreciated!
