Could be the net , but why did you not ask eircom ?
Maybe better to use the net via landline ?
My net via the land line phone / DSL broadband is about the equivalent of 13 pounds .
Do you have that option ?

And 21% VAT ? Oooouch !
And I thought our taxes were obscene .

You have my sympathy .

A recurring charge is a charge for an ongoing service. Being in the U.S., I do not know anything about EIRCOM, but based on what you have listed, it appears to be a communcations company - similar to the telecommunication companies here.

For my monthly bill, my recurring charges are for my broadband service - it is the same amount each month because of the type of service I have.

You should contact EIRCOM and ask them what service or services you have that cause these recurring charges. They should be able to explain the entire bill to you so that you understand.

Good luck.

You could be on an internet plan where you are allowed to download up to a certain gig value and then be charged per megabyte for download usage. If you or your friends are playing a lot of games etc that really sucks up the gigs and you would be charged for heavy usage. You need to contact your ISP and have yourself changed to a more suitable plan. Recurring charges could be an automatic daily download to your system that may be sucking up your gigs. have this checked out too.

I think you need to change carriers. I have broad-com and I don't have to pay for internet time. Of course I have a extended plan that also gives me unlimited minutes, but that should also be available to you. Every time I hear about the taxes you guys pay it makes me happy our forefathers broke away from England. That must make you feel like your being ripped off every time you get a bill. Good luck
