My brother was in a diving accident and cant afford physical therapy. He cant afford the equipment.
(Plus he has to pay back a loan from the government for the ticket they purchased for flying him back to America.)

That is a need of more than 50,000.00 U.S. dollars.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hi!

My grandpa gave all of his grandchildren IRA accounts that matured about 5 years ago. Most of the gc have used the money for college, weddings, house downpayments, etc. Luckily my parents funded my college and i am not planning a wedding anytime soon( only 23yearsold). My mom told me to take my IRA money and put it into a CD or something with a better %. How do I make my IRA money tangible? I have all the paperwork but i don't understand it? Do i just bring it to my bank and ask them to transfer the money to a checking account? It's about 10k right now.. I appreciate all your help! thanks everyone.

My elderly mother is in a nusing home. She was told that if she sells her home she will have to pay with her own money to keep living in the nursing home. Is there some legal way for her to get rid of the house and not have to pay to stay. I've heard that she could sign over the house to one of us or all of us. Is this true? Or are there any alternatives?

ITS ME, THE ONE WHO ASKED THE QUESTION!

1. I have never done a loan before... That's why I asked about them

2. I have a Lense Crafters card to pay off, an old and turned off credit card to pay off, and an old shut off cell phone bill to pay off, with a grand total of $1,241 to pay off... AND my fiance has two old cell phone bills to pay off as well with a total of $600...

3. I don't work... I attend college full time

4. I do however recieve S.S.I... $850 a month

5. My fiance does work 30-40hrs/a week at McDonalds... and is also in school part time and gets paid every other week $350ish...

6. My fiance and I live in my mom's garage... only half the size of the garage is our home... There's dry wall seperating us from the car parked inside...

7. We pay $250 to live there

8. Living here for 6 months so far and staying for another year to pay off things and prepare to live on our own

9. My mom wants me to be careful with money so she gets my S.S.I... And I get $55 of it every Monday and Friday... NO EXCEPTIONS

10. That's $1,900 (sometimes less) a month for rent (once a month), school expense's, food (every other week), and bare essentials... (when we have enough money)... Not leaving much for those other needs such as a new bed (two people on a twin = Major back problems and constant falling off or one of us sleeping on the floor) or a dresser so that we can finally see the floor (we have a side table as our dresser... two people with a two drawer side table for a dresser... ??)... We don't even drive! No car! Walking and bus fare for us, which isn't so bad after a while...

And no we aren't too young, He's 20 and I'm 21...

Getting the point to my finance problems?

We need some help on this, fast...

I ask this because I want to contribute to a Roth IRA account until I retire. I will make $95k in a couple of years if I stay with my current employer and was curious if contributing a pre-tax amount (to a 457b account available through my employer) to make my federal gross income $90k (for example) will be good enough to continue to contribute to a Roth IRA. Between the 457b plan, the Roth IRA and my pension (yeah I'm a government employee), I'd like to retire when I'm 59.5 or 60, so I am not interested in a traditional IRA. If possible, please back up your answer with sources. Thank you kindly.

We have been engaged for 2 yrs and he just got out of debt and has some extra money now.I want to put money away for a house/wedding(both of us) but instead he keeps buying expensive stuff(drums/car stuff/guns) that total over 3k with no signs of stoping. He knows i have my share of the money for the house/wedding but he will not put any away himself(he wants to buy a house too).I can't help but think he expects me to put the whole down payment on the house. When i have talked to him about it he says he will put his share of the wedding on a c.c but what about the down payment on a house?I think now that his debt is cleared up and he has extra money some of it should go in the bank to pay for these things rather than buying expensive toys.
