I am a single adoptive mom. I want to stay home and homeschool them. They are eligible for adoption subsidies, for the grand total of $2000. Thanks to all of you for the encouragement! I do coupons and sales as well as gardening, canning, sewing, healthy cooking and etc. Also yard sales, of course! I'm thinking we really can do it!

Yes, depending on her total situation, children's ages, part of country, help from family with daycare, ability to sew clothing and grow a garden and if she has a paid off house and no car.
My grandmother raised 6 kids on a small farm alone but they only ate a chicken if the preacher came to dinner, she canned all the food and of course no car he husband died in 1919. The older kids help the younger kids and nobody ever gets new things.

it all depends on how determined you are and what you're willing to sacrifice. i know peolpe doing the same thing with a little less income. the hard part is finding a place within your income- even if you have to get an apartment and share rooms with the kids. as long as you are realistic about your spending, by enough food to make big meals leaving left overs for the next day, skipping the high price fashions, and all the extra luxuries that this culture would lead you to think you need 2000 will support all of you.

Tiffany V should be ashamed! Yes, it can be done. You need to be ultra-frugal but you can do it. There are books and websites about frugality and after a while it gets to be fun.

If you mean child support, yes! If you mean, just that alone...let coupons and sales be your friend! Good luck to you!
