I mailed my check in for deposit on sat. jun 28, and it hasnt shown on my account yet. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this, and how long does it normally take for the deposited amount to show on your account? Its stressful.

Here's my situation: Right now I have a remaining vehicle loan for $6500.00 at 19% for 2 more years. My credit score is around 678. It was quite a bit lower at the origination of this loan 2 years ago and that's why the interest rate is so high; but I feel like I'm being screwed at this percentage rate now that my credit is average and not terrible. A month ago, I tried to refinance it at the same place but they only offered me a one percent decrease (I've always paid on time for the last 3 years including a little more than the min. payment too). Would I be able ot find a place to refinance my vehicle at a lower rate? What interest rate do you think I could/should be at and what places would you suggest doing this with?

I bought and sold several mutual funds in my 401k this year. I had made money on most of the sells. Do I need to pay tax on capital gains on my 401k account? If not, does that mean I can trade frequently without worry about any short term capital gain?

I am in the middle of an amicable divorce. I do not want my soon to be ex to have to sell the house. We are splitting the equity 50/50 but my ex will be unable to meet a home equity loan payment each month to buy me out. Ex is in school and working only part time. I want to know if we can sign a note where she pays me my half of the equity at a determined date after she is out of school. This is not co-ownership. Home is in her name but it is community property in our state.

I have 7 positive accounts and 6 negatives. My credit score is pretty low. The 6 negatives are credit cards. Well actually 3 are cards and the other 3 are the same cards but are from collections. Each card is reporting me twice. I disputed all the negatives and they all came back as correct. The 3 cards plus one of the collection agency are scheduled to be removed in Nov. 2007. The other 2 collections are scheduled to be removed till Nov. 2013. I got the 3 credit cards in 2000, spent them and never made a payment.(yes i know, young and dumb). The other 2 collections are reporting that the accounts were open in 2006 and thats why they will not be removed till 2013. I didnt open anything in 2006. All 3 original debts were opened in 2000.
What could I do about this to try and get those last 2 dates changed?
I though it was 7 years and thats it. Can they keep selling your debt to diff. companies and restarting your 7 years?
Thanks for all the info in advance!

I recently got my credit report and discovered that someone has been using my name to try to obtain credit.

They made 9 attempts in a six month period all of which were unsucsesful.

My credit score is now down to 540! i have spoken to the companys they made the credit searches and they have aggreed to remove all the searches on my record that I didnt make.

Does anyone have an idea on how many points my score will go up once these 9 failed attempts to obtain credit have been removed from my account?

Thanks
