I will make sure insurance is in place, but will the contract protect me from being legally responsible from anything they do?

Are medical records sort of like a credit report, where an insurance company can put in your information and automatically see all of your records, or do you have to give them the name of your doctor for them to find the records? I'm just curious to see how a medical insurance company researches your records when you apply. I signed the release of records, but I have not had any medical problems in a while. I am a little scared that I may have forgotten about something that I didn't list on the application that will not allow me to be approved. Thanks!

Some told me - he had a workman's comp case. Then was issued Social Security and given 100% Disability. Under the Disability, he is not entitled to Medicare for 2 years.

It makes no sense to me that if someone was on Disability, they could not get health insurance for 2 years... He claims all his medical expenses are coming out of his pocket.

Could this be correct?

I'm out of state on vacation. I've had some minor (major?) health issues with my child. His doctor took him off Zithromax 2 days ago, but his symptoms are not improving. He has 2 ear infections (bad ones) and is acting like they are getting much worse.

If I take him to the hospital (i'm over 700 miles from home), will I have to pay up front or will my insurance act like I'm at home, and I'll just pay a co-pay? Also, can I just be billed for it if I can't afford to pay up front? If it helps, my son is on medicaid.

I am thinking about going with a gentleman from church to put in my sprinkler system. It is my understanding that he doesn't need to be bonded (it's just him), but should I make sure he has insurance? And if so, how do I go over his head to make sure he is up to date on it? What exactly should it cover (ie. just in case he gets hurt, or should I make sure it would cover any damages to my home or property?). Any extra thoughts would be appreciated, as we are putting in $2000 to have this done!

I tried to apply for property and casualty licensing in DC and the only category for that license came up was public insurance adjuster. The only way to apply is on the internet.
Thank you.

We take care of her, and pay our share of everything, but when the time comes the house is willed to both her children, though we have 12 months to buy out the other. The evil sibling will make life hell in the time, thinking she can come and go as she pleases. I would like to know that we can buy her out, but it would be difficult. I figure if we pay for insurance, she can't lay her hands on that money.

I've been living abroad for 20 years now, and have depended on local national insurance. But now I'm looking for more comprehensive health and life insurance (got married, finally, a couple of years ago).

I do a lot of travelling, and I soon I will relocate to another country.

One medical Insurance plan I'm considering is called "International Health Insurance danmark" (IHI), part of an organization called "British United Provident Association" (BUPA). Has anyone heard of this? Or can you recommend any other companies?

Thanks a million!

I am in collection for an old medical bill, but there is no evidences to show who was my insurance company at that time. I called the medical center but the record was deleted because the bill was written off. Do I still need to pay the bill?
