I had a pretty sweet 2002 Monte Carlo, but Carl next door just got the 2007 and that thing is really sweet! I went to the dealership to get me a 2007 and they said I owed about twice what my 2002 was worth, so I went on home and lit her on fire in the driveway so I could get the insurance money. Well the sumbicth lit my whole dang house on fire and now the insurance lady is doing an investigation. Am I screwed or what?

Is it necessary to get full replacement insurance for a home or is this the more expensive level needed for home ownership. example, we are being insured for what it would cost to replace the home 254,000 not its appraised value 90,000 at about 600 a year. I've been told we're paying too much by others.

Its just an idea I had, wondered if it would work, if its legal, etc. My family has no health insurance, and I am sure that there are many other families out there in the same boat. We have no major medical issues, just checkups, physicals, dentist visits, etc. And I would like to have something to fall back on just in case of an accident or catastrophic illness. I know there would be obstacles, who would run it, how to pay the bills, who to let in, how to find replacements, but if it worked.....

My 17 year old is taking lessons but we've discovered that the cost of adding him to our car insurance is prohibitive. I'd really like him to be able to drive our car as my husband is disabled and I also look after my 80 year old mother so having somebody else in the family with a licence will be a real boon, but the current quotes for adding him to my insurance seem to be pushing the cost up from £260 per year to £250 per month!
