I'm 23 yrs old and I have 5 years experience in working as a property and casualty agent. I've worked for GEICO and Nationwide, I am currently working at a Nationwide Agency and I work with a few ladies that have been in the insurance industry for 20+ years and they do the same thing I do. I don't want to be stuck doing the same thing, making the same money forever, but insurance is the only thing I know. I was thinking about getting my CPCU designation. Are there any online programs? And is it worth it?

With claims? Tell me about your experiences, both good and bad. Be sure to include the company's name.

I've had two terrible experiences with The Hartford, one as a policy holder, another as a claimant. These people are crooks! Don't ever do business with them.

I had braces for years. Our family spent $ 8.000. My mother had a medication that damaged all her teeth. We had to pay $ 30.000 to the dentist. All our hard earned money and all life time savings are lost - $ 38.000. Like a lot of people in the USA we are too "rich" for Medicaid and too poor to can afford high health care costs.

Does a Medicaid / Welfare person get all these expensive orthodontist and dentist treatments for FREE?

If you work hard and save money your hole life, you loose and waste everything.

If you work or don’t work and waste your money like an idiot you get everything for free.

How to find if a person has an insurance policy and which company it would be with, without any paperwork? Would there be a search database for all the companies which could be made with the correct details or any other method of search to find this out.

Someone related to me just bought a new house in Bakersfield, CA. Theyre in escrow right now and have to get homeowners insurance.

I think first american title gives a pretty good one that has flood insurance, which I heard can be a good think in Bake.

However, the offer explicitely states it has no earthquake insurance.

The insurance is 760 a year.

Any advice on insurance?
Whats your experience etc.
Which one to get.

Any answers are greatly appreciated :)

I quit smoking a few years ago but I recently lost my mother and have smoked a few cigarettes (like 6 cigarettes over the last 2 weeks). I have to take a blood test for for a new life insurance policy and I'm worried that nicotine will show up in my blood resulting in much higher "smoker" rates. How long should I wait to take the blood test?
