In answer to the person that just told you to get a lawyer, Workers Comp disability is mandated by the state. You will get exactly the same temporary disability with a lawyer as without. The only difference is that with a lawyer, you get to pay him/her part of it.
The only reason to get a lawyer is if your claim is denied and you believe you have a compensable injury. Permanent disability is also state mandated. You're not going to get any extra for pain and suffering by having an attorney. There IS NO pain and suffering in Workers Comp cases.
If the insurance company denies your claim or terminates benefits and you believe you are disabled, THEN hire an attorney. Other than that, you're wasting your money because he'll get a chunk of what you would have gotten paid without him.

The only experience we have had with worker's compensation benefits is that the hospital and therapy bills were paid. We were not sent bills. There was also a part of salary that was paid. The insurance company had a representative to personally check quite often on the physical progress.

My wife had surgery back in Aug. 2006. If you have a
comp case, the best advice I can give you is Get A Lawyer!
If he or she thinks you have a case they usually will take
the case on a contingency, so you won't need to lay out any
money. It is important to retain a lawyer A.S.A.P.
Since you really didn't ask a question, I don't know if this
is going to be of any help, I hope so. Good luck.
