i jsut found out that my grandfather does not have any life insurance to help the family take care of his funeral and other expenses he will leave. I am the wise one in the family and would like to take out an insurance policy on him so that the family will not be left to figure out how to pay for funeral expenses and expenses he will leave behind. Do you think it is too late? i am wondering who will insure him at this age? Thank you. Signed COnCERN.

My partner and I have lived together 15 years. His wife refuses to sign divorce papers, even though they broke up 17 years ago. He has a life insurance policy for her to receive benefits on his death. He got a life insurance policy for me to receive benefits on his death.

Someone said I can't get a life insurance policy payment without the wife signing off on it. Is that true?

I'm a 29 year-old non-smoker w/a spotless family medical history - not even high bp for my 65 year-old-dad. I recently applied for life insurance and was surprised when I was rated in two risk categories higher than normal. The results from my lab work were normal. I am pregnant but was told by my agent that this is not affecting my rating. We plan to review the policy/shop around a few months after the baby is born and my body is back to normal just to be sure. But I am concerned: will this higher rating now permanently affect my ability to get competitively-priced insurance later? Anything I can do about it? What else in my medical history/charts might be contributing to the higher morbidity rating (besides pregnancy)? Anything I can do about that? My agent, who's known me and my family for years, is also surprised but isn't sympathetic. I did a little research and found that I do have the right to an explanation in writing. Will requesting it send up more red flags?

I am 33 weeks pregnant with no insurance. I just found out 2 days ago that after trying to receive state aid for my pregnancy I am not eligible. I can't get insurance through my job. I am well prepared to pay a pretty penny for insuance so that I can attend my prenatal visits I just can't come up with the $3,000 in 2 months to pay my doc so I need insurance to help with the doc visits. If anyone knows of a good insurance company that will except an already pregnant woman please let me know! I am not looking for a discount program as they are scams.

1. I was rear ended by some chick in a BMW, I have a 95 Crown Vic in poor (Cosmectic) condition, but it drives fine. She skuffed up my bumber and put a crack in the light. I went to get an estimate (Because she wanted to pay out of pocket because she is a Multimillion dollar producer realestate agent) I said fine, the damages came up to 900 dollars. then her husband said for her to go through her insurance. Problem is my car has a salvage title... ( I dont know what difference what makes...)

Now... I dont want my car fixed, it is not worth fixing, are they going to give me a check?

2. I went to the hospital the night after the accident with neck and head injuries but it is all muscle related so i have two perscription and im basically drugged up til the pain goes away... are they going to pay me for that too? Am I going to receive a check for pain and suffering or something?

.... She has Progressive Insurance, and I dont have insurance... how does that work??

Thanks!!!!

I have been contemplating the idea of purchasing a life insurance policy on my parents, because they both are about 62 years old and I know that eventually as much I would never want it to happen they are going to die. And the way I look at it why not insure them is it wrong to think this way? I am thinking that it makes sense to buy life insurance on your parents, because they will most likely die before I do (I am 36 years old) and i hate to look at it this way, but too me it seems like a wise investment. Can I purchase the life insurance w/out them finding out about it? Because I think they may feel like I am just using them as an investment, but I really am not, I just think that If I ever lose my parents it would be a major loss in my life, and if a little money would help ease the pain and make my life a little easier it's the least that I can expect to compensate for my loss....Does this make any sense to anyone or am I the first to look at it this way?

Hello, I am working for a family doctor office. Recently, all our medical claims to Blue Cross CA are pending and they request us medical records for those claims. After we submit the records, Blue Cross indicate that the performed services are not medically neccessary. Thus, they only agree to pay a small portion of the total billed amount. I have called Blue Cross and they said it's their policy. We have spent so much time and effort but it does not work. Anyone has such problem like me? Please advise. I appreciate.
