You can drop them, but AIG requires evidence of insurance to drop them, otherwise, they'll continue to charge you. They're a**holes.

AIG is a great company. Financially sound... and you would change companies after having coverage for 1 day?????

let's rethink this.....

There is always competition between companies. There is always that 1 customer that had a bad experience, but until you hear the full story you don't know all the facts. AIG must have been a good deal or you would not have gone with them to begin with.

I think you're taking the menopause approach to this..... OMG I'm having a hot flash.. do you think a sex change operation would help?!?!?!?!?
Don't let other people make up your mind for you.

AIG is a great company.

Sure you can drop your insurance at any time - depending on what kind it is, there might be complications, and probably there will be a cancellation fee/penalty.

If it's auto insurance, it could create problems with your license plate, as they'll notify the dmv your insurance was cancelled.

I would never drop any insurance until I have other coverage approved. Also, consider the source. Check A.M. Best ratings, Standard's and Poor's, and the BBB. You can't believe everything you read online, or hear people say. Research it yourself. Avoid ignorant gossip tabloid sites like ripoff.com. These are typically rants of competitors, and disgruntled employees posing as customers. I don't like or dislike AIG, but who am I? Research, research.
