I'm 19, graduated high school '07 just started working at macys to pay for college but the pay really isn't enough ($7h). I wanted to get a Job working somewhere close to home, get experience w/ animals, and pay for college. Parents really can't help me money wise and I would feel guilty asking even if they had the money to send me. I can't find anything in ads or online. Question is where should I be looking; am I looking in the wrong places? Most clinics or animal hospitals are full and don't really need any help. Are there any other places that I can get real hands on experience w/ animals other than where I am looking. I'm getting sick of working retail it is just not me. I wouldn't mind making minimum wage if I was doing something I loved and making a real difference. Even if I put forth effort no one really cares.

THIS IS JUST DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!
I want a real job, my dream job I really don't mind hard work. Something like kennel work is what i want to do.

How do you feel about your nursing career? would you reccomend it to someone like me:
-i cant work in a cubicle
-im a social butterfly
-i loveee children and caring for the elderly
-im in shape
-i cant work 5 days a week. i wish to work like 2 or 3 but get a good pay.

well i have talked to two nurses. one has been a nurse for 10 years and she hates it and says its backbreaking work and extremely tiring and draining. another nurse (has been working for 2 years) said she loved it and couldnt have found another job and is wonderful because she only works 3 days a week and can support her extreme shopping sprees :) and she loves people.
so im posing this question to all nurses!!
how do you feel about your career??

Starting in January 2008, I am planning on going back to school at a Junior College, majoring in Medical Office Technology. My intention is to be a Medical Transcriptionist or Medical Coding. I heard that you can work inside your home, working for Hospitals, Insurance Companies, and etc.,
Is this true, and how do I go about doing this ?

Like a small job that i wouldn't have to go to everyday. I'm scared of talking to people a lot, so no babysitting. My mom suggested working as a cashier or something at a supermarket, but i'm scared of seeing people i know there. So what else is there?

Its very irritating where I work. I am making $11 an hour and have been at this company for going on 2 years, obtained a certification for the job I do. The policy says that you will get an evaluation every six months. I have not gotten one yet. They just started a new person with no experience or certifications at $11 an hour. I am considering going somewhere else where my efforts will be recognized. Should I take another job?

I'm going to start my pharmacy tech internship next week, so i called the pharmacist and asked her about the dresscode. She said that i should follow my school's dresscode. But the school let's us wear anything we want. I wear t shirts and jeans all the time for school. But would this be appropiate for the pharmacy?(CVS Pharmacy)

I have no experience in Healthcare Admin, but I really want to get into this field. Any recommendations? I do have a BA Degree in Economics and Finance. I am half way through an MBA degree. All of my work experience was in the mortgage industry. I'm hoping for an entry level job making at least 40K. Is this feasible?

The two programs I may complete are Radiation Therapy Technology, and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Could someone tell me from their own knowledge about becoming registered after graduating the programs?

Basically, how long does it take, how do you prepare, and should you start working in the meantime?

Thanks! : )

I see where Radiology Techs have the opportunity to get a certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Can you do this if you have a BS in Radiation Therapy?

Thanks : )
