I'm 16 and I want to be a Registered Nursing Assistant. How do I go about doing this (I live in indiana)? Can I even be certified at 16?

Nursing assistants are certified, they are not registered. Most certification courses are offered by community colleges One is Ivy Tech Community College. Although I do not see it in the online literature, I doubt that you can be certified at 16, but you should check with the college to find out. In Texas, all nursing assistants must be certified, so most nursing homes, which hire a lot of senior high school students for weekend shifts, conduct training off campus under supervision of a Jr. college. The trainees must then pass the state certification exam before they can work. Indiana may have a program of the same sort.

nursing assistants are certified. If you have your high school diploma or a GED you can take the course. it usually lasts 3 months. so if you are 16 and have a high school diploma or ged you can take the course good luck. im a CNA.

most states require you to be 18 yrs to receive your certification, but will allow you to take the class. look into a volunteer position with your local hospital or fire department.

well first you need to get some class that requiere to get your RN certificate.
