Okay, So I go to MSU and I have been taking all the nursing pre-requisites. I will apply to their traditional B.S. nursing program in a couple weeks. I've heard that it is very hard to get in. If I don't get in, i'm wondering what other school I could apply to. Does anyone know anything about other universities in Michigan that have nursing programs? Any info would help.

I was asking from a nursing school the number of total students in their nursing department out of the3500 students on their campus, and they only replied back that they accept 68 intakes twice per year for adult nursing and 26 intakes twice per year for mental health nursing.

So , in your estimation, how many nursing students do you they have in total at this campus??

Thanks for your answers!

I have been in the profession for a while, but with all of the talk about offshore outsourcing, Im wondering if I am immume? I currently work in a hospital with the 1199c (union) and I am wondering what is stopping my boss from coming to me one day and saying "Youre too expensive, I have a better solution." I know that IT professionals are still discovering that they are not safe. What are your thoughts about medical information being sent to Third World Countries?

Disclaimer: I am NOT interested in these specialties for the money. Please don't come on here saying, "Why is it all about the money?!" It's not.

Now.

Everytime I try to find salaries for physician assistants, I always hear people saying, "...depending on the specialty".

Well, here are my interests:

I would like to be a physician assistant in surgery, cardiology, and/or neurology. I really want to do surgery most of all, though, and might settle for cardio-thoracic surgery.

How much does a cardio-thoracic surgical physician assistant make?

I have two programs at my local tech school that I'm interested in:
Radiography & Respiratory Therapy.

Honestly I qualify for either one academically. However, I do not know much about the jobs and wonder if anyone out there could tell me if one job is better than the other and/or if one job pays better than the other....based on personal experience...or based on someone that they know who works one of these jobs.

Thank you!

I'm 18, and I'm attending the University of Colorado at Denver Health and Science Center. I'm currently a Biology major (should I change to Pre-Pharm?) and I have a low paying job at a woman's clothing store. I have in the past, however, interned at a hospital as well as 2 years of volunteering at one. I'm thinking about working at a pharmacy...what would it be like? Salary? How else should I prepare for Pharmacy School?

Any info would be useful! =)
