Does it matter which college you go to to get your AA in either RT or RN? There is a college by my house that opened that has these programs but it is not well known and I dont know about its reputation. Will it affect me when trying to get a job if i go to this college?

I am desperate to move out of this job, working in a bank where I'm exploited, I have a bachelor's degree but can't seem to move past the assistant position. I want to quit because I hate coming here everyday...I feel miserable. I want to move into nursing, but don't know how. Does it make sense to work in a hospital as an admin/clerical position untill I become a nurse? Is that crazy? Please help. I can't take one more day here.

I was injured during a work-related function (motor-vehicle accident during a work summer outing).

This was last week. There is a chance soon (maybe as soon as this week) that I will be quitting my job for a new job.

If I leave my job will I still be eligible to have my medical bills taken care of under workmen's comp even though I would no longer be employed by the company?

Age. Race. Location?

How do you like your job? What do you not like about your job? What area of the hospital do you work in? What do you hate about your job?

I was wondering if anyone here is studying to become an Ultrasound Technician. I'm looking into going into a part of the medical field when I graduate(still a freshman but I want to start thinking about it so I can base my plan around it.) If you are, can you tell me how long you'd have to be in college, if you must go to another school after a four year college, and if you know, which schools are best for this area?

Also, if you are an Ultrasound Technician, then I'd appreciate any opinions or advice you have. I'm really interesting in working with something involving pregnancy. Thank you so much.

I'm thinking about becoming a nurse and I want to know just how many hours registered nurses typically work in a week. Is the workload too much? Is there enough free time?

Please only reply if you or somone you know if a nurse. No guesses please!

They forgot to add nursing, radio/ultrasound/mri tech and whole bunch of other medical professions to this.

Kind of scary that in just 2 years of training a 20 year old could be taking care of your life if you're in the hospital. Yikes.

I have an Associate's degree in HealthCare Office Management. I can do nothing with it. I currently work in retail and sales positions are all I am getting calls for. I can't afford to go back to school so I guess I am just stuck.
