I have been in the profession for a while, but with all of the talk about offshore outsourcing, Im wondering if I am immume? I currently work in a hospital with the 1199c (union) and I am wondering what is stopping my boss from coming to me one day and saying "Youre too expensive, I have a better solution." I know that IT professionals are still discovering that they are not safe. What are your thoughts about medical information being sent to Third World Countries?

I think its good. Because, Offshore outsourcing patient information to other countries is done more confidentially in a secure manner. Large amount of sensitive information is transferred to the medical coders in remote location. They access the patient medical records through Secured FTP and Virtual Private Network.

Offshore wind is a staggering dream, besides the fact that it could no longer take place in the U. S. quickly; there are precisely 0 ships in North u.s. able to erecting any giant generators offshore on the 2nd. With the Thames venture and diverse Dutch, German, Danish and chinese language tasks going there'll unlikely be any ships sent over from there to right here to assist out the two. we've to construct our own if it is going to take place any time quickly. confident there are stronger and steadier winds at sea, yet offshore wind is lots extra high priced to place in than onshore, extraordinarily provided that we are beginning the coaching curve on the very backside. Coal is so captivating as a means source because of the fact there is rather little preliminary capital investment mandatory. no person takes into consideration the gasoline expenditures, merely the up front value in the previous funds starts to return in. Plus, we nonetheless have the priority of electric autos. "no longer adequate variety, no longer adequate means, seem crappy, demise traps, ..." i'm going to purchase one, yet no longer till my truck dies. different than for the $2000+ conversion value, Pickins plan grew to become into noticeably stable.

Medical information is already downloaded to India on a regular basis to be processed (their day is our nite) and back to the US the next business day .
Hospitals doing it often try to insure the privacy of the records .

But some places were outsourcing them to companies in Florida , who then did a secondary outsource overseas But without the privacy safeguards .
People were getting blackmailed , send $$$ or we make your records public !

Anything to do with information and paperwork can be offshored. It's lousy but that's the long and short of it.
