In my contract I have an inspection contigency. The bank owned property that I made an offer on sent over their addendum as part of the contract. There is a clause that states-"upon signing this counter, Buyer states that he/she has thoroughly inspected the property and releases inspection contigencies, and accepts the property in its as-is condition." I questioned my realtor as to why I am signing this before final inspection and she stated that my contract has an inspection contigency that is still enforced. Doesn't that clause supercede the contract?

I'm needing one of those prepaid debit cards for some impromptu travel. Where in the US are these cards sold? What's the best *and* least expensive, in the way of fees and cost fo purchase?

I don't want to use my "real" credit card, as I don't want to leave a paper trail. And my spouse will probably cancel the card as soon as he figures out I'm gone. Ideas? Suggestions?

I am a sales rep for a large chemical company. I posted my resume on a job board to see what was out there and have gotten a few calls and an offer. My current job seems to lack upward mobility. I currently earn 48k , about 10k in bonus, company car with gas and insurance paid, cell phone paid, labtop with wireless, full tuition reimbursement which I am currently using to earn a masters degree. However, I was offered a job earning 60k plus commission, car for company use (not personal like my current job) and I would have to wait 1 year for reimbursement. I think that I can do really well on the commission schedule. However, I am worried about stopping classes for 1 year. I have 1.5 years left for my M.S. degree in Management. I am not struggling financialy but the extra money would be nice. Just worried about stopping the classes for 1 year.

She purchased a home in Dec. of 2005 with a 30 yr fixed mortgage, insurance, taxes and HOA fees for 2yrs included for $1,071 a month. After 6 mo. She started getting letters from the HOA that she owes them money after 9 mo into she received a letter from the mortgage company claiming there was an error in her mortgage and her payments will be increased to $1,171 dollars which created a finacial hardship. Can she sue the mortgage company and the company that did the paperwork because she certainly would not have purchased the house for that amount per month? I had advised her not to pur the HOA fees, taxes and insurance into her mortgage agreement cause I felt she would have came out way cheaper and would have gotten the $600 - $800 a month mortgage she wanted. She advised that she was over a barrel because she had to opt for 0 down no closing cost. This so called new home has been nothing more than a night mare since purchased. Somewhere there is a leak, the ac is broke. Help!
