I don't understand, I can only spend 200 out of 1400. is the rest used by the bank as loans, and expenses for other people and the 200 for personal use? I ask this because 200 out of 1400 seems a bit too low.

Agh! I sent in my resume to a company a few days ago, for a part-time job that pays a bit above minimum wage. I forgot, however, that I had mistakenly put my cell number on the resume instead of my home phone. And, since I don't regularly use my cell, I missed the original call from my potential employer. He called to set up an interview on Friday, and I only just got the message--it's past 6pm on a Sunday night. Have I ruined my first impression? Where should I go from here?? Please help!

I'm a Canadian citizen, and I owned a pre-contruction condo for ~2yrs. I do not own any other property.

It was my intent for it to be my principle residence. I went for the house inspection and had my lawyer prepared all the necessary documents. After the inspection, I later realized it was not a place where I want to live in. It was very close to the final date for the ownership transfer (with the developer) and I sold the condos to another person.

My question is if I can treat this as my principle residence and not pay tax on the gain? If not, it this a "capital gain" of which 50% is taxable?

We are looking at this option to better utilize extra cash to pay off some consumer debt (that cannot be included in the refinance) but people are so negative about it. We are going with an option ARM and WILL be making the full amortization payment (based on a 40 year loan). We are going to be using the 12MAT program (I can't seem to get enough information on this) but it appears to be relatively stable based on the 12-month Treasury Average. I understand about the "interest only" payment and are fully avoiding that. We can't go with a decent fixed rate due to our income to debt resulting in a 680 FICO score. Will our plan, we should be able to pay off most of the consumer debt in 2 years then refinance into a fixed rate. Does this sound like a realistic plan. With paying as we will (fully 30 year), does this loan have a chance for negative amortization? Believe me, we have learned our lesson on using credit cards and taking out loans.

This person is very nice on a personal level, but when dealing with work related topics she turns very bossy and demanding. How do I tell her to back off without hurting her feelings? She is the type of person who would make a big , dramatic scene and start crying or tell everybody how mean I was to her if I tell her she did something wrong. But I feel it needs to be addressed before I get so irritated I snap at her. I am under a lot of pressure right now and I don't appreciate someone second guessing my work or telling me I better do something when I am already busy with something else that's more important. I should add that I have about 8 years of seniority on this person and lots of experience and training. This is work that I was asked to do and she was told to help me if I needed it.What do I say? I can't be too blunt.

I would like to do that for paying off my car from a loan I got from my credit union. The principal is not that big and I can pay that off probably in one lump. I would like to save money on interest or avoid paying interest by paying off the principal in advance. Is this possible?
If I were to make monthly payments, I got about three more years to go.

Could you get product information from everything in your house that had a bar code? Is there a way for some business entity with a large investment to create a system and a database that would allow the average person to inventory all their posesions that had a bar code? (I'm thinking it would be nescessary to compile a large (user compiled) database with different retailer data (because of different retailers)). Also, is there one scanner that reads all bar codes?

In case your wondering, I am thinking of an ebay-style idea, but more local based.

Understand that I have seen the cost sheet from the title company and the seller owes $113400 on his home. I offered $119900 but the appraisal came in at $113500. Therefore the seller does not want to decrease his price. I do not have the $6000 difference it will take for us to come to terms on this offer. The seller has contacted his lender to ask if they will take a short sale on the home but if that does not happen does anyone have any suggestions as to how we could get this deal done? I want this house!

Thanks for your input

Hi I'm 18 and would like to start establishing some assets, an idea I had for a while was to buy a vending machine that I could buy drinks/ snacks from a company, then stock it up and see if I could pay a local business a monthly rent for me to sell drinks/ snacks there. Then eventually buy more and grow my collection of vending machines around town.

Anyone have any advice they could give me? and maybe some other ideas?

Thanks.

My daughter is a shift manager on her job, and she asked her assistant manager if she could make sure the store was clean and stocked for her shift and the assistant manager started arguing at my daughter saying how she was not going to do it when they know that each shift is responsible for cleaning and stocking before leaving. She called the manager but she was no help because she does not like my daughter, and so she ended up calling someone over her who was no help because they told her to call someone else and they never answers their phone and so she called me just so that she could have someone to talk to to help calm her down before things got out of control because the assistant was talking about all what she would do to my daughter. I told her whatever she does don't let her see her cry. She also threatened to write my daughter up and she didn't even know why. I want to know if something can be done legally. No one deserves to have to go to work and can't get along with.

My husband and I currently live in a one bedroom apartment. We are expecting a baby. Will we be required to move out when the baby arrives even if the lease is not up yet?

FYI: In my state it's 2 people per bedroom. At the most, the landlord will allow only 2 people to live in a one bedroom apartment. If it's 2 bedrooms, they allow 4 people. You get the point.

We signed the lease before I found out I was pregnant. By the time the baby arrives, we'll still have 5 months left.

I've heard of some couples having to move out of their 1 bdrm apartments because they had a baby, even though their lease wasn't up yet. So I am just curious if it can happen to me too.

While I was in college, not too long ago, I played poker with some college buddies. I did very well and things were fine. But as time went on, I found myself wanting to play for more money, which equals higher risk. When I would lose, you have to sooner or later; I would use my school funds to play more. When those ran out, I would just take another student loan out. My mind frame was worry about things later, out of sight out of mind. As things contoured, the loans started to add up. When things are all said and done, I have my college degree, but I also have more money in student loan debt than twice what my house is worth. I got therapy over this, and my wife has told me she forgives me and that money is just money. But the thought of those 2-3 years of terrible mistakes will ruin/finically drain me for the next 30 yearsI don’t know what to do. I understand that I have to live up to my mistakes, but I had a disease, it took over my life. Please, help, any tips, ideas?
