My name and my grandsons name is on a vehicle that we purchased together we are fixing it up for him when he comes of age. The vehicle has a clear title ( paid for ) I am being garnished for a debt 8 years ago durning my first marriage. Can they take the vehicle from my grandson. We live in Missouri.

Technically, since they have a judgment against you, they could put a lien on the vehicle or anything else with your name on it. But in reality, a vehicle that you are fixing up probably isn't worth that much and it's unlikely they would go to the expense of putting a lien on it.

well if the debt is from 8 years it could be past the statue of limitations to collect on it and if it is a debt collector who PURCHASED the debt, then dispute that you owe THEM
the money, most likely they will have no proof you owe
them and you didn't sign any contract with them to authorize
them to collect. If they garnish your wages then sue them
back, consult with a Consumer Law Lawyer in your area

I do not think they can take it. But why not put it in just his name. You dont drive it or have to pay insurance on it the way it is do you?

Since they are not lienholder / secured party on the title, they cannot take it.

no, but if they want to play nasty they could make you sell it. my advice is to put it fully into his name.
