reasons that's holding me back is my recent 5 plus yr. job experience as a temporary employee. It's been awhile since I held a full-time permanent job, which I'm now seeking because frankly I'm tired of not receiving benefits, having a cubicle of my own or a business card (which is awkward not possessing when one is trying to network). I think though that many hiring managers frown upon people who've worked multiple years as a temp. This could be because some of my brethren (well, I've been guilty of some of this too, which detail I would never bring up to prospective employers) in the temp industry have developed the negative reputation of being late to gigs, taking days off and/or suddenly, w/o notice, quitting. My question is: should I include cover letters which states why I would be a good candidate despite having temped for so long? In past cover letters, I have not discussed nor defended being a temp at all, but highlighted the skills and experiences I have to offer.

My problem is thatI share a mailing adress and the same name as my father. His credit is rock solid, but I am scared that having too many accounts on my credit report makes me look like a high risk. The accounts showing up on my report are credit cards with huge credit lines, but zero balances and he has had them for quite some time. From what I understand that makes me a credit risk if I factor in my couple of credit cards with much smaller balances.

I will be selling my home soon and it is a fixer-upper located in Western New Jersey.
The current asking prices in my town for half a duplex is $169k and up, townhomes $179 and up, single family homes are around $220k and up.
My home has 4BR and 2 Full Baths - - real estate listings comparable are starting at $249k.
I know the market is slowing. I am looking for a quick 'as is' sale and figure on setting my price at $135k 'take it or leave it'. If I can't get $135k then it will sit vacant while I move in with my mother (she can no longer be left alone).
Do you think I will have any luck selling knowing that people can pay more and have a perfect move-in condition place? Or am I priced low enough that people will see the benefits of a fixer-upper that may not be move-in condition but in the long run will cost far less than the move-in condition place?
Thoughts?

I won a bid on Sept 4 with HUD on a home in NC. I know it says closing can be UP TO 45 days but I was wondering can it be sooner? Everything on my end is done, loan, etc...Also, the HUD attorney is in Greensboro which is about 4 hours from me...How will that work? Do we have to drive there or will they appoint someone to come here and close? I just want to move in asap! :) Thanks!

In particular, when I email a resume and cover letter, how can I motivate the hiring manager to open it? Is there something that I can put in the subject line that will make it stand out, but still be professional? Hiring Managers are receiving hundreds and hundreds of resumes and I need some ideas to make mine stand out. HELP!

I am doing business in Texas, but I incorporated my business as a corporation in the state of Delaware. I heard a rumor that I don't owe sales taxes to the state of Delaware, if I am doing business outside of Delaware, but I don't know if this is true. Please help me, I am thankful for your advice.

I have a condo in the SF Bay area and really just want to put some new floors down, and buy a couple of updated appliances. I couldn't get a HELOC from my credit union unfortuantely, because I have 1st time homebuyer loans from my state and city that are considered 2nd & 3rd mortgages. I'm wondering if a 203(k) might be a decent alternative. Specifically I'm curious about the interest rates, and whether or not refinancing my condo will constitute a sale and I'll lose Prop. 13 protection for the stated value of my condo and taxes. But any other info would be appreciated.

I've already gotten my free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com but now I'm looking to monitor my credit score periodically from all three bureaus. I know that FICO is probably the biggest credit score service is their number that much different than what I'd get from the credit score source that Equifax, Experian and TransUnion use?

I just don't want to pay so much more for nothing. If FICO says my Experian credit score is 700 and I go to Experian.com and their service says my score is 692, I don't see the difference.

Thanks.

I have had a building survey done on a house I wish to purchase, it has stated for the services such as hot water and heating "CORGI registred plumber to test the system and confirm if the flue is apprpiriate and positioned properly." Now I know this is standard practice advice, but I had a plumber to test to the service, would I have to pay? If so how much about?

We have a realtor. We have done every upgrade the realtor insisted upon...but no one is contacting us. Here's a theory someone threw past me earlier today: that "Clearwater is owned and run by Scientologists, that's why you're having trouble selling it...you need to let the Scientoogists know you have something for sale there....maybe they could use it."

I'd purchased this place as an investment 2 yrs ago. I did not investigate Clearwater, and certainly would never have been checking for something like that, for what religions are big in the area.

Is there any truth to this? SHOULD I be trying to court the Scientology community about this unit? Maybe they DO need homes in that area for their members.

Does anyone know about this?

And also, if true, how do you put ads for something like this in front of their locals? I don't imagine they have a classified paper just for them in that city, though again, I don't know that.

Thank you!!

When do you need to pay this? I already have a home loan, well, 2 actually so we didnt have to pay it when having no down payment on our house. We have great credit, just didnt have a down payment. I will have to refinance at some point in the next 3 years cuz our one loan is a 5 year arm. Will we have to pay the PMI insurance if we refinance? How does that work?

I read we can define illiquid stocks by its bid-ask spread. If its bid-ask spread is bigger than 5% from its price we can define it as illiquid stock. But, how do we define illiquid stocks by its trading volume? Or how we define illiquid stocks by its daily transactions?
