I worked as a Manager for a large car dealership in CT. THe owner started to email me that he wanted to meet me for drinks, he said if I played my cards right he would see I got places. I never responded to any of them. The last one said that my job was in jeopardy. I could not tell my General Manager, that is the owner's son-in-law. I quit the job and took one at less than half the pay. I am still very angry. I went to see a few lawyers who said I had a great case...but needed a large amount up front. I don't know what to do at this point. Please advise. Please don't make fun, this is serious to me.

I'm 18, and I'm attending the University of Colorado at Denver Health and Science Center. I'm currently a Biology major (should I change to Pre-Pharm?) and I have a low paying job at a woman's clothing store. I have in the past, however, interned at a hospital as well as 2 years of volunteering at one. I'm thinking about working at a pharmacy...what would it be like? Salary? How else should I prepare for Pharmacy School?

Any info would be useful! =)

I have completed all of the RN pre reqs..and have realized that nursing might not be right for me seeing as I am a male...and I just dont think it fits my personality.

So I am wondering what the typical work week and pay is like for a radiologist? I'd also like to get some feedback on the ins and outs of a days work as a radiologist. thanks.

My friend wants to move to the US and currently works selling personal insurance in the UK. He makes very good money, so he is looking for something similar; companies with a structure that are worldwide and pay good money. Also, what, if any, degree or requirement is necessary.

I post dated a check for Tuesday to an online college and just found out that it had a lot of bad press.... outdated materials and so on. I definately learned my lesson! My question is since I cancelled the postdated check (which they encouraged me to write anyways) can they still deduct money from my checking account? I didn't give them anything on my debit card just that one particular check (over the phone). Also since I didn't sign anything OR recieve any materials (since materials weren't going to come until check was cleared anyways) can they hold me responsible for anything? I would think not considering I signed NOTHING. Thanks.

I am married and have 2 kids. We receive a large refund each year but I would like to start seeing more in my check weekly. Currently my husband and I claim single with no allowances. I do not want to owe each year in April, maybe get a small refund to pay bills. What is the most we can claim to at least break even or get a small refund?

I have a signed P&S with all contingencies met. The SELLER is now stating they won't close because they failed to read a refinance agreement they took on this, their existing house, that carries a prepay penalty. This penalty kills the deal on the sellers new home financing. Nine days till closing and if they don't sign I will lose my lock on a pretty darn good financing deal of my own. I will contact an attorney the first of the week. But in the mean time anyone have thoughts on this?? The P&S seems locked up in my favor. They can't just back out can they. Can they be liable for my legal expenses and any possible rate increase on my loan if I lose this lock?? Thanks

Shouldn't he get taxed after he sells it? Is it fair for him to pay taxes on a ball the IRS feels is worth 500K today that could be worth only 10K in 10 years (if someone else like A-rod beats his record?)

I think the guy should have kept the ball and fight the IRS in court!!!

Right now I'm 20 and living at home. I'm going to school on a scholarship that pays tuition only. It's getting aggravating living with my parents and it's hard for women to take you seriously as well. I have a job too, but I dont get paid enough to live by myself with my check. The loan would be for maybe five thousand dollars (Is that enough for a semester?) I want to buy a tv, maybe some stuff for the apartment because I wouldn't have anything to start with, so I figure I need to take out a lot to pay for that. I could use my job to pay for rent and food. The loan would be for books, internet, insurance, cellphone, beer, gas, and random other stuff that pops up. It would definitely help my confidence when talking to women and trying to host more friends which in turn helps you meet new people. That part figures in a lot.

advice?

*note: it's too late for me to get any other financial aid . . . I'm pretty sure. I want to move out ASAP and it looks like a loan is the only choice*

As we were talking I asked for the company to send me a letter stating my bill. They said they could only fax it, I thought that sounded weird. During the conversation I was repeatedly threated with legal ramifications and different people kept passing the phone with people being very rude. I finally hung up. These people called my mom, and the only way they could have gotten her number was because I applied for credit. Does this sound like fraud? I want to hire a lawyer to find out if these people are legit.
