Hi, I moved in about 4 months ago and before I purchased the home I asked about the fence. The sales lady said it has to be a black ornamental aluminum fence and gave me a paper showing the fence. They had the same fence outside the model and we thought our small Chihuahua might be able to fit between the pickets, so we brought him down and sure enough he squeezed through. I researched these fences and found that they make the same fence with a slightly tighter picket spacing. I told this to the sales lady who acted like this would be fine. We went ahead and bought. Before I closed on the home I thought I'd better make sure about this tighter spaced fence and I contacted the HOA. They put me in touch with the President who stated "he did not see a problem with it, but we would have to first buy, then petition for an exemption". We did buy, and when I moved in I asked the HOA managment office about how to petition, the immediately said there would be no variances allowed.

Hello everyone. I keep getting two different answers to this question. So I thought I'd ask here on Yahoo. If I was married in 2006, but got divorced in 2007, do I file married on my taxes(because I was married in the 2006 tax year) or do I file single now that I am no longer married even though I am filing for my 2006 taxes? For anyone with this info, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I had a second interview yesterday. The guy told me that I was one of three to get a second interview and the last person that they needed to see a second time. He told me he would call me today and let me know that either they wanted to offer me the job, they offered the job to someone else or they decided to keep looking. It's 4:30PM and I haven't heard anything. Should I call him or just wait for him to call me like he said he would?

To add to my question about a second job and moving. I am not getting any sleep as it is so getting up at 3 will make it worse. I am not a coffee drinker and without being completely moved into my new place making breakfast is impossible and grocery shopping-no time for that. I am beat-about to fall asleep and I have 1/2 left in job # 1. I will be slower than molassess at job #2 tonight.

I am trying to find out if a property near me has been sold in the last six months or so. The county auditor's website only has last year's records (2006) which shows who the owner was as of the last assessment for property tax.

I have an item to sell (namely, a ballgown) wich is around $1000. I found an ad where somebody is looking for a ballgown that fits the description. I sent them pictures and they say they want to try it on. If it fits, they want to buy it. Now the question is, how do we proceed? They are in a different state. Obviously, both sides are somewhat worried, because we are complete strangers.

I'm putting a "back-up" offer in on a house, and I'm curious how often the initial offer collapses. I'm looking for a percentage of deals that fall apart and go to the next buyer.

I've noticed this with many counselors my age(16), and I'm wondering why is it that younger counselors that can earn minimum wage working at any other civilian jobs, such as a clerk or receptionist, but summer camp workers are paid bi-weekly, which divided up into each day becomes only about a dollar an hour?

I know that tips are taken into consideration, but earning tips as a counselor is not always garunteed, unlike a waitress or a pizza delivery boy. There are also positions, such as a camp specialist (i.e., one who isn't a counselor and works at a designated station, such as basketball or tennis) that can't earn tips, but still earn below minimum wage, the lowest I've seen being about $2.50.

Is there a reason for this? Is this considered illegal or inhumane by any means?
