I had a second interview yesterday. The guy told me that I was one of three to get a second interview and the last person that they needed to see a second time. He told me he would call me today and let me know that either they wanted to offer me the job, they offered the job to someone else or they decided to keep looking. It's 4:30PM and I haven't heard anything. Should I call him or just wait for him to call me like he said he would?

Call on Monday and let him know you are following up to make sure you did not miss his call.

On a Friday afternoon in the summer, you can probably assume that the decision maker isn't available and that's why they haven't called. If you haven't heard by early next week, I'd follow up with an email just to say that you're looking at other options but you'd prefer this opportunity and wanted to know if you were still an active candidate. (if that's all true)

I would probably wait til Monday because first impressions count! This might even be a test to see if you are able to follow directions even at the greatest tempations. Maybe if the other two people call and you don't, you may get the job! just be patient with it

If I was you I would try to call now and leave a message if he is not available and call again on monday because employers like it when a interviewee is persistent it lets them know you really are interested

They probably offered it to someone else, but go ahead and give a friendly, polite call to just to check. This is not a time to beg or try to sell yourself - it's the time to show your professionalism by being proactive and polite.

Don't call until a couple more days. If you call the day they're supposed to call you will look too desperate and nervous for the job, no matter what it is.

Call. My dad owns his own buisness and only hires the people that keep calling until they get an answer. He says calling shows that your interested.

I would call, even though he said he would call you... If you call him, he will think that you really want the job, and your devoted to it! So just give him a call back!
