Timeshare taken out in USA one year ago, never used and now not affordable. Can the timeshare company not just sell it on to someone else and write the debt off. Will they chase it in the uk?

My husband and I rent in Virginia. Our lease is up August 1st and we have not recieved copy of the new lease to review. I asked for it at the end of May and again today (6/23) . Our lease states that it has to be signed by July 1st. Our management company said again today that they will send it on Tuesday, 4 days from now, and we will have it by Wednesday. It has to be signed by Friday. Shouldn't we have a little more time to review it? Plus that gives us 2 days to take time off work to drive and meet the woman to sign it. What do I do?

I've only been there for 3 months. I've heard you have to be there for at least 6 months in order to receive severence pay. Is this true and since there has been rumors that we're going to close down next month, should I just quit and find something else?

I'm getting just a little frustrated here!!! So we put a bid on this bank owned property that has been on the market for a LONG time and we just hear back today that the bank doesn't want to deal with anyone that doesn't have their home sold yet. Our house is on the market and we put in our offer 'subject to our home being sold'. The homes in my neighborhood are selling within 45 days. I just don't get it - why would they pass an offer when it could be the only one they get! (the house isn't exactly in the prime location) This is the second time this has happened to us.

PA IRS sent me a letter with their own figures changed from my tax report, with the result of a lower amount of refund to me. All of differences comes from that they remove the deduction of capital loss (Line 5 on PA-40 form) and make my total taxable income higher.

I asked the staff of PA IRS on phone, and she told me that it is simply because a PA tax payer can not report capital loss for deduction (or you can say they will not let you deduct it even though you report the capital loss), while if you have capital gain then you must report it and therefore pay a higher tax because of the additional earning.

I was never aware of this regulation, if it does exist instead of the staff giving wrongful information. So I wonder whether there is really such a tax law for PA state tax 2006? Any link to the specific law? Would people who are familiar with PA state tax laws please answer this question please? Thank you very much in advance.

I'm familiar with the phrase "The more you make, the more they take". But is there a pre-set percentage for taking taxes out of your check or does it vary?

There are other banks in the UK apart from the Bank of England (such as the Bank of Scotland), and they all issue their own notes. The government requires that all notes issued must be backed by the same amount in BoE issued notes.
I.e. if they issue £100 worth of Scottish notes, £100 of Bank of England notes must exist somewhere.

In order to make this easier, the Bank of England issues £1,000,000 notes so that the other banks don't have to store loads of smaller denominations.

The note is legal tender, but I have never seen one, so if someone could find a picture of it for me, that would be cool.
