If it's a US cent, then the 1901-dated is valued at $3 in average circulated but are often sold for under $2 each. It's a common date of the Indian Head Cent series and mintage was a high 79,609,158.

If it's a penny from Great Britain, then the 1901-dated has retail of $1 in average circulated. Mintage was 22,206,000. It's not a rare date too.

Depends on its condition. You could look for similar items on ebay, or take it to a couple of coin shops and ask them or look for similar items there.
