I have a small graphic arts business and am thinking about getting a company car. It's not for status but for functionality (right now my personal car is a 97 and isnt roomy or dependable enough for moving around equipment). I was thinking something along an scion xb as it could easily be car wrapped and I would have a mobile advertisment (instead shelling out MUCH more in adds in newspapers and magazines).

I want to make sure I make an educated decision on this, but I need help as to where I should focus my research. Would I finance it in the company name? What about car insurance? Should I talk to my accountant and get ideas about taxes and depreciation?

I may buy a house on land that has a well. In a couple years, the city plans to bring water supply through the property lines. What "could" this potentially cost? If I ask they City will they be able to tell me and is it accurate? Do I have any say in if they do it?

My landlord owns three buildings on my street. The two buildings next to mine have families that live there and I swear they have like 12 kids each. Every time I come home their kids run into the streets, ride their bikes in the street, or just walk in the middle of the street. They pay ZERO attention to cars. The parents are never around. I have even had children purposely run into the street to try and scare me, and I had to slam on my brakes. Can I call the landlord and tell him he needs to fix this issue? I was told by a police officer that it's out of the police's control.

If I was paid under the table (childcare) in 2002, but now I feel bad about it and would like to pay those taxes, how do I go about doing that? will there likely be fines? and any thoughts on if this will cause problems for the family who paid me under the table.

I was critically injured in an auto accident at the end of July of last year and was hospitalized for three months. As a result, I wasn't capable of managing my finances and was dependent on my family for doing so. During that time I recieved a 30 day and a 90 day past due notice on my credit for two separate credit card accounts. How can I get this resolved?!? The credit reports are accurate but because of exceptional circumstances my credit has been severly negatively impacted. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

A rumor has circulated that could affect greatly for future advancement in my company. I'm a firm believer that I should shrug off any harmless rumors about me. However, in this instance, it seriously can jeopardize my entire career and throw me off balance; and I don't tolerate it one bit. What is the best action to do?

I understand that you can manage your own properties without a problem. However, a friend of mine wants to manage other people's properties and collect a percentage of the rents received.

Are Real Estate Brokers the only ones allowed to do this? Must my friend first become a Broker before starting his company? He's in PA.

I signed a year's lease when I moved into my apartment. The lease is up July 1st. If I move out before the 1st do I get my deposit back or do I still have to give a 30 day notice? The lease doesn't state any thing about the end of the contract.........It just states that if I were to break the lease then i would have to give a 30 day notice to do so.......

I will have about 10k to invest with, and want to look for a house within the next 3-5 years. What should I do with this money to achieve this goal? After another year or so, I will have another 10k to add on. Any ideas? Nothing too risky, as I would like to keep the principle amount still...

For example, if I have $500,000 US dollars and deposit it in an interest bearing account earning 5.0% per year, by the end of the year the interest paid into the account would be ~$25,000. If you were to take that 25K out every year, how much would you have to pay in taxes, if any? Is it based on the same tax brackets as income? Thanks for the clarification.

I have recently told my landlord that the house is infested with ants and silverfish. I have taken many measures to get rid of them myself. I have bombed the house and I keep my house VERY VERY clean. I even took it as far as to put all opened boxes of cereal, bags of chips, etc into plastic bags. I have also asked him to fix locks (because I can't lock the house properly which poses a threat to my safety and my childs safety) and I have asked him to fix the light in the bathroom. I have asked him to fix many other things but I figure you are all bored by now lol. His excuse is he can NOT drive here to fix these things because he got a DUI and got his license suspended. What are my rights? I'm a loan officer and not sure of what my rights are as a tenant. Please HELP!!!!
