I know that you can lose money as well as gain when dealing in stocks and shares. My bank offers a a service for trading. What is the best way for me to get into buying/selling stocks and shares? Would I be better off using a broker who will take care of everything for me?

If i'm prepared to take the risk would it be better for me to invest money this way rather than sitting in a savings account?

Thanks

I thought that it is inappropriate for your boss to answer your cell phone, unless there is some understanding worked out first. Is there a link that I can go to that has some info on the subject? I would like to know cause my boss answered my cell when I left my desk. Yes, it was a personal call. However when he told my friend not to call me during working hours unless it was an emergency I felt that he crossed the line. If he has issues regarding my personal call they should be addressed to me, not the person calling right? My friend got offended and as a result sent him an email (which was curt.) My boss took it even a step further by replying to her email. He went on about how he owns my cell phone and blah blah blah. I realize that this could have been avoided if I were a better employee. But besides that do you think that his contacting my friends is just plain wrong. No boss should have personal contact with my friends outside of work no matter the situation.

I worked as a part time shop assistant throughout my A-levels and my degree. I ended up becoming a full-time Store Manager to fund my PhD.

Many of my team members are students, but those who aren't very academic are extremely capable in a practical sense. Yet people frequently assume that anyone who workd in retail is a moron!! Why is this ridiculous prejudice still so common?

Working for the department of human services (DHS) has always seemed interesting to me. If you’re reading this and you’re a social worker can you tell me a little bit about what you do daily?

One of my relative who settled out of India and holder of Citizenship outside India needs someone to answer the following question:

He has some property in India (His house, Land, etc)

He wants to sell and repatriate the proceeds out of India

Anybody can advise HOW he can transfer the funds to his present bank account/coutry where he got the Citizenship for his personal purpose there. What is the present RBI rules related to it?

He has stayed out of India in different countries for more than 10 years (with some break of 6, 8 & 13 months stay in India) but not the same country from where he has the Citizenship.

I am aware that I have to pay US income tax if my income exceeds certain amount even if I work for a foreign company in a foreign country and pay tax and social security of this country

My question is how much do I have to pay US tax after I already paid high income tax and social security in this foreign country. For example, if I would earn 100,000Euro/year in Germany, I am married with no kids and spouse has no job. How does US tax law apply to this situation? Based on what amount do I have to pay US tax? What kind of expenses could be written off for US tax?

and I heard that nurses don't have lives because they must always be on call for work. Is this true? Can nurses make their own hours? And is it easy to find a job as a nurse right now or is the medical industry packed tight?
