YES I know its an "investment" . Me and husband have been homeowners for the last fifteen years and I don't feel that we currently benefit from being homeowners (maybe when we're old people). There are people I know who live on my road in the same house as ours whose houses inside and out (cause they are owned by the local council) are nicer than ours. All their home improvements like double glazing, new kitchens and bathrooms and repairs are done for free and we can't afford to as we are paying a mortgage. It doesn't seem fair.

The policy is written on a building in Los Angeles containing 4 condominium units. In the first claim, the insurance co. defended the HOA against a negligence lawsuit in 2004 that was later dropped without going to trial, so no money was paid out.

We are pondering making a second claim in 2007 involving water damage to the building. Whether the insurance covers the water damage is a separate issue I don't want to get into. I just want to know if after making two claims in three years the company would have legal grounds for cancelling us; or whether insurance companies are known for finding reasons to cancel, whether legal or not. No fraud is involved here.

If on my W-2 The exemptions/allowances states federal:0, and state: 0, do I check the "Yourself" box under the exemptions box? It's confusing because it says, "if someone can claim you as a dependent, do not check 6a"--but if I check the box, I end up with 1 exemption. help!

I donate items through out the year, for a few Organizations I save the slips they leave at the door..

I added up the items i have donated this year using the FMW, I am over the $500 mark (filing Married/jointly and itemizing) . Now does it matter what type of items they are if some are clothes? Can baby & kid items be allowed for this deduction if it was given to a organiztion?

Quite confused and afraid to be red flagged for an audit (even though i have it documented), or should i just adjust the amount to be under the 500 mark ( 840 now) and be safe?

I deliver pizzas for a living, and what the supervisor (the supervisor of my manager) wants to do this experiment. He wants to have a ton of drivers in the store so when a driver comes back from a delivery he or she would have to wait his or her turn, which would mean less $ per driver. He wants to do this so he would not have to hire anyone who wants to work inside only. The drivers would have to do the inside work when they are waiting.
