As stated, i am a college freshman....with no idea what he actually wants to do in life. Only thing i actually DO know is that I love to travel, and anything to do with different culture. I am African (African kids will know) and that usually entails high expectations for me as a child. My parents have been asking me to make a career decision but like i said i have no idea. Originally b4 my eyes were opened i used to think i would become a doctor. I just realized that job is not for me. However with my parents demanding i make a decision (theyre not bad parents). I chose pharmacy. Because it is a bit easier and less stressful than medicine (no offence to pharm students). But upon further review of pharmacy i realized i might be miserable at a job like that. Plus the chances of getting into pharm school are very slim. I had considered getting a bachelors in something as a back up. I just wished what that something was. I kno this is long but any help will be appreciated.

I am a dental assistant and LOVE my job!!! I just starting taking this anxiety medication (SEROQUEL 600MG) for the 1st time Friday night and I think my doctor gave me too high of a dose, as I went to sleep at 11pm and didn't wake up until 3pm the next day. I don't even remember hearing my alarms go off and I ALWAYS set 2. I was scheduled to work from 10-2pm. As soon as I woke up I tried calling the dentist and there was no answer at the office. I am so nervous to go in to work tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice? I am so scared beacause he is a very moody person and I never know what to expect from him. He has agreed to train me as a dental assistant and I have no formal eduacation and I have wanted to work in this field for a very long time. Do any of you have any advice? PLEASE HELP!!!

I work in customer service for an insurance company. We are pretty much there to assist agents when they are not available. I notice, however, agents always call us to do their work, customers complain because their agents never help them or never in the office, they never answer their phones. If I call an agent to do something that I am not able to do, they tell me to do it anyways. What do they do? My friend works for an agent that always has her tell people he is not there when customers call in. From my opinion, agents are lazy. What exactly do they do other than sell you more insurance, profit from it and go on trips. They are rude, never assist you. Please if you know an agent or are an agent and can tell me what exactly you do to earn your money, let me know so I can have a better outlook on agents. Thank you.

We are applying for a grant and need an accountant to sign a statement going over our net worth. We never had enough money to need an accountant before, and we need one who isn't too expensive, and who isn't too busy with taxes. The form needs to be submitted ASAP.

I'm in my last semester before getting a degree in mechanical engineering. The problem is, for about 3 years of the program, I've a had very little interest in the subjects being taught. Also, I've had a couple of co-op jobs in the industry which I did not really enjoy in terms of the kind of work involved. It has dawned on me that maybe this isn't the right career for me. I really enjoy programming however and would love to get paid to write code all day, rather than measuring the vibration levels of some old pumps.. I figure now, and not 10 years into a career I don't enjoy, is the time to switch to a different field. Do you think I should a) transfer as many courses from this degree to a degree in computer science at another university and then be a student for 2 or so more years, b) take a computer programming program at a career college, or c) go into mechanical engineering anyway? Thanks.

We are under a legal contract for a home we are supposed to be closing on in 2 weeks in South New Jersey. We were just notified that the seller's payoff is $50,000.00 higher than the sale price of the home. He doesn't have the money to come to closing table with. He is 2 months behind on the mortgage plus owes in back taxes. What happens to our "so called" Legal and binding contract that has already surpassed attorney reviews on both sides? They are now looking in to a "Short Sale" or possible foreclosure on the property. Can this void our contract?

I want to invest in the SPY (SPDRs), an ETF that imitates the S&P 500 index.
Don't want to invest in individual stocks now.

How should I diversify?
Buy other index-ETFs?

Like the Dow Jones and Nasdaq?
And even those perform similarly to the S&P 500
