I tried rightmove because it is well known but the fees are expensive and I had only two viewings for a very beautiful house I was offering at a really reasonable price. I tried a few online sites for advertising privately with little faith and to my suprise the one that was absolutely free and just there to host my advert brought me the most sucess, three offers and a sale. They are called availablehouse .com. Also house ladder online are good. Check the statistics and how many people view these sites first. Email or call them to find out what is involved, if they take commission and be reluctant to pay for advertising space. If you do decide to choose a site where you have to pay, ensure your payment details will be safe and secure like via paypal.

I hope your sale is smooth and easy like mine turned out to be. This must be a very stressful time for you, selling your house is a big deal. Hang in there, it's easier than you think. God Bless xx

Craigslist is fantastic. I've listed two condos using CL, and the response has been awesome. Everyone who has answered and followed up with a showing has really been interested in purchasing a condo, even if it's not mine. So I don't feel like I'm wasting my time with people who respond to CL.

Condo one: Three offers from people who answered the CL posting.

Condo two: Listed with a Realtor for three months with very little interest. Started posting on CL, twelve people through in the first ten days. We heard the same comment over and over - the place looked dated - and have taken it off the market to put in a new floor and kitchen appliances/counters. We were going to have to pay $9000 in Realtor fees. We'll now put half of that into the condo and still come out way ahead because we'll up the asking price.

Craigslist is free, easy, and it works. And I got virutally no Spam after I posted!

I ADVERTISED MY HOUSE WITH HOUSE LADDER FOR £60. AFTER 3 WEEKS I HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE AROUND TO LOOK. I HAD THREE OFFERS. ONE WAS WHAT I WANTED TO SELL IT FOR. BUT I CHANGED MY MIND BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS TOO OW A PRICE AND I MIGHT GET MORE FOR IT IF I WAITED ANOTHER YEAR. REGARDS HAROLD
