My boss is from Bangledesh, and thinks that there is a caste' system in the office. He yells at the front office workers with personal attacks, bringing some to tears. My coworkers and I are not paid to be called stupid, or worthless, when he makes a poor decision, or has a bad day.
I am close to throwing him out the window, for the way he reacts with others. I am having a hard time not taking my feelings home.

I'd hate to be a coal miner! To work in the dark, cold, wet underground would be so depressing! I'd also hate construction. I tried it once - yuck!! What about you? What would you hate to do?

For some reason recently my boss has been making me e-mail him when I arive and leave work. I am the only one out of about 7 employees that has to do this. I feel singled out. I get singled out in the office about other things too. This week he has been in California on business and I have forgotton to e-mail him the last 2 days. Today I got this e-mail from him...
"A reminder that you haven't been reporting your arrival and
departure times the last few days. Please give me a summary for this week and try to get back on track. Since I am unable to check on this visually I rely on this. I discussed this with our time keeper in the human resources department and she agreed that starting next week they would only pay for hours logged in and out in this way. Thanks."
If I am here for 8 hours, they can't NOT pay me...Right!?!?!
And to be completely honest with you, my hours are not the ones he should be worried about. I have co-workers that will work 4 hrs and put 8 on thier card.

I am trying to figure out how much a $500 donation given to my college in 1938 is worth in today's dollars. It sounds like a lot of money for back then, but we are unsure how much it would be equivalent to today.

I appreciate the help - serious answers only, please. Tell me how you came to your answer so I can pass it along to my office staff.

I work for a very small company, and have been working for them for 6 1/2 years now. They have come to depend on me very much and treat me like family.

My boyfriend lives two hours away from me in a much bigger and better city. We are planning on getting engaged soon and I am going to be moving in with him when my apartment lease is up at the end of July.

I am having a hard time deciding on how I should break the news to my employers. We all went out to lunch today and I had planned on telling them, but I froze up... I figure the sooner I tell them the better so that we can find a suitable replacement for me... so how do I do it??

What percent of your commision do you receive a year. So say the average listing commision is 6 percent and you average 3 percent on every transaction for the year. How much of the 3 percent do you get to keep if you work under a broker. For instance, you do $10 million in sales....how much do you get as income from that?

I've heard that you need three years work experience before you can become certified. It seems like a chicken/egg type of deal, because how do you get experience when you're not certified? Exactly what jobs can you get that will count towards certification?

We have all of our stufff moved out and keys returned. We gave our notice that we are moving out on Dec. 30th. We had to break the lease because I am pregnant with twins and I am having difficulties in my pregnancy, my Dr. is 200 miles away, so we want to move closer to him. The landlords are not making all reasonable efforts to re-rent. They now want to do a rent to own, and they have changed the monthly rent from $1200 to $1390 a month. No one has been interested in the house, and we cant wait around forever for them to re-rent or should i say "rent to own." Would a note from my doctor work, saying that I needed to move to be closer to him for my high risk pregnancy? And are the new terms of the house reasonable?

I am an investor with a group of investors who have have real estate properties around the US, mostly single family, townhomes and condos. One of our investment strategies requires finding buyers who are not able to qualify for a traditional loan. With us, the only need 3 payments and closing costs to qualify to get into one of our properties and own a home. My question is how do I go about finding these buyers and/or establishing relationships with agents and lenders to work with their unqualified buyers to get them into a property and make it a win win for all parties involved?
