What percent of your commision do you receive a year. So say the average listing commision is 6 percent and you average 3 percent on every transaction for the year. How much of the 3 percent do you get to keep if you work under a broker. For instance, you do $10 million in sales....how much do you get as income from that?

I'm a remax agent so I get t keep 95%. Its one of the best splits in real estate. I do however have monthly desk fees. My fee is 1000 per month, so that's 12grand /yr. If i commission 100k i keep 95k. -12k =83k.
Now at other brokerages your on a 60/40 split. if you commission 100k you keep 60k with no desk fees. you do the math, 83 is better than 60.
Remax is the best

It depends on the agreement you set up with your broker. Some places do 60/40 splits where the broker keeps 60% of the 3% and you get the 40% of the 3%...just depends on the firm.

Whatever your agreement is between you and your broker. Some do the 60/40 split as mentioned above, others do 100% less fees & advertising. It all varies from broker to broker.

You will soon find out that a Realtor is nothing but a used car salesman. They will say and do whatever it takes to make a buck. USE CAUTION !!

I receive 1.5% commission off of a home sale from the seller. Other agencies may make more or less. At 10 mil I believe that would be 150K.
