Can anybody suggest some mortgage companies that would allow me to work from home as a loan originator or something in which I can earn approximately 1% of the loan amount?

I was wondering what the average amount of time to take off for getting married was. I've read different things on various forums. Some women only took one or two days off, and some women felt they were entitled to two or three weeks. I'm leaning toward two or three weeks, especially because I have the mind set that work should never trump your life. Also, I'm planning on getting married out of state, so I will need more time for travel, etc.

I was wondering what people's experiences are with asking for time off for getting married. Have your bosses been excepting of this new stage in your life? Have they rained on your parade and made you feel guilty for wanting two or three weeks? Have you offered to use one week paid vacation time and opted to take an extra week of unpaid time off?

Ideally, I'd take about seven days paid vacation time and some unpaid time also. I mean, this day only happens once in a lifetime, right?

I ask because at job interviews I've seen, everyone interviewing wears a black suit. Even though ppl at the firm wear a variety of colors (navy blue, charcoal, gray, etc.).

I recently applied for Sears credit card, and their APR is driving me crazy. I just sent them a payment for $27.00 (that's what the balance said) then a couple of weeks later they charge me a "finance charge" of $40.00. My account balance didn't even changed. It's like I didn't even pay $27.00. Their ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE is 25.40%. They're making a lot of money by scamming us with these over-the-top percentage rate. I wish I never applied for that damn Sears card in the first place. =(

My cat has gone crazy lately .. always jumping on my shoulder when I walk in the door ... this latest time, he jumped me from behind, causing me to lose my balance and fall to the ground.

What if I say something else happened ... will my homeowners policy cover it?

They cover dog bites, right? So why not cat attacks?

I just had my car repo'd last night, and I am in the process of filing bankruptcy. I have the paperwork, but it hasn't been turned in yet. Can I still file on it even though it has been repossessed? I live in Indiana.
Thanks in advance for answers.

to want more for your family and allow your underachievement professionally to motivate you to do better. How do you strive for more while protecting the stability you have and great work life balance. I 'm not learning anything new at my job going on 4 years now and despite my efforts to do more I am rebuffed by the owner of the company who likes the status quo. I need to constantly improve myself yet feel hemmed in by this cozy envirnment.

any ideas on how to resolve this seemingly contradictory situation.

Like, Macy's. How much did each dress, shirt, or whatever cost them? I'm looking for the range of the kind of thing you'd find at a Macy's store, specifically, though any range or a place I could find this information would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

There was a levy placed on my current bank account by a bill collecting agency(credit-card debt) and I am stil owing. My dilienma is that I was laid off from my job and I cannot afford to pay right now. I want to file my taxes and have the funds go directly to my bank account. If I do open a new bank account and e-file, will the creditor be able to find my new account and place a levy on it? I would also like to know how they find it (bank account), and how long it usually takes.

Thanks in advance!

I would like to buy some stocks, but I want to do it in a cost effective and flexible way. I have been looking at Scottrade and E-Trade, but I wanted to ask people with experience. I would like to purchase stocks online. Also, I am puzzled by the saving's account that acts as an intermediary between my bank account and my investment portfolio. Are there firms that eliminate this "middleman" approach, but still provide a flexible (quick) way to purchase/sell stock. I don't plan to do day trading... most likely periodic investments (long term), though I want to make sure if I want to but a stock, I can do so quickly. Should I be looking at some other investment firms I am not aware of? Your insight is appreciated, I don't want to start out with the wrong firm.

Is there a way to pay my credit card companies what I owe for accounts that have been charged off and sent to collection agencies? Couldnt they then contact the collection agencies to report that I have paid. Even if the collection agency has bought my debt, the credit card company could pay them back and still have gained some money???

I designed and maintain www.BooBenefit.org. It contains information for a motorcycle rally that generates money for a children's burn camp. I pay for the hosting of the site and do all of the work associated with it. I spend many hours working on the site.

I know that I can consider the money I spent to pay for the hosting as a donation, but am I able to use any of the time that I worked on the site as a charitable donation? Can only direct monetary donations be deducted?

I have three credit cards, each having a credit limit around $15,000. One is a no interest til May 2007, my balance on this card is roughly 13,000. My other card has around 10,000. I just finished paying off my third credit. My 3rd card is the longest existing credit card i have. Should I go ahead and close it out, or keep it. Will it affect my credit rating, if I close it. Meaning, will my credit score go up or down? I have a new job with a good salary, I should be able to cut my debt in half this year alone. But, I guess what I really want to know is if closing a credit card with a 15,000 limit have a negative affect on my credit score? Thank you.
