On Yahoo! news, I read an article about how pennies may be worth five times as much as they are now. Is it worthwhile to "invest", so to speak, in this by exchanging monetary values at the bank for pennies, saving the pennies, then exchanging them when the actual transition occurs?

I can't make ends meet on my Jobseekers Allowance alone, and saw an ad for a p/t sales assistant in a shop. The job pays £5.35 p/hour, and is for 10 hours per week, with more hours at busy times. I would love to take it, but I think I would be worse off! I have heard that I can get Housing Benefit if I stay within in the 15 hours rule. And I am hoping the shop will give me 15 hours a week, most of the time.

I pulled my credit through creditreport.com and my middle score was 575. I went and applied for a mortgage and when they pulled my credit it came from "Credit Plus, Inc." and the scores were WAY lower. My middle one was down to 544. Why did I get a different score than the mortgage company??? I had a little cleaning up to do that would have brought me up to about a 620 according to my score, but only up to a 600 according to their score. (This makes a huge difference in my interest rate). Any answers???

thank you in advance! :)

I am an approved driving instructor and to enable me to qualify for this profession I had to spend a large sum of money on training & numerous tests. Once qualified I start my business on a self employed basis. I have been told (hearsay) that due to the fact that the training took place before I started the business I may not be able to claim it againt the accounts. Is this correct & if so is there anyway around this? If possible, can I claim 100% back or just a part of the capital? I personaly feel that as the training was wholly to enable me to start the business in the first place I should be able to claim all or at least a percentage of the money I paid out initially! Can anyone please shed any light on this subject or offer any advice? I would really appreciate any help with this dillema, thank you :-)

If we were allowed to keep the intrest, without being taxed,on simple savings accounts, wouldn't more people be incline to save. Also the banks would have more money to lend for mortgages.I don't know how much the government would lose in revenue, but it might not be that much.I think it's a win-win situation

I bought a place 2 years ago. The mortgage is in my name. My new gf moved in about 6 months ago. I have been charging hey with rent. Now, she wants to match my cashdown and become half-owner of the place. What steps do I need to do to protect both our interests?

When I was checking my credit report, it says that I took out a mortgage in February of 2002 and asks for some information about it in order to verify that it is my report.

Problem is, I have never taken out a mortgage...ever. Is it possible that this is a trick question as on all of the questions there is a none of the above response? Has anyone else heard of or had this problem?

We were just served eviction papers on monday. We owe for rent. Our landlord is a total slumlord. We have been paying for the utilities for the person below us, have no working oven or stove, vents havent been cleaned in 6 yrs, etc. Can we counter-sue at the eviction hearing..or at least dispute it if we feel he owes US money? Does anyone know how this process works or exactly how much time we will have to find a place? Any input is greatly appreciated
