This is the second time. I'm a single mother of three and thought buying a house would be a great idea. Now I'm stuck with a high house payment and an almost 100 year old house that seems to be falling apart. I really don't have the money to fix it up and can't seem to keep up with the payments and bills. Refinancing is out of the question, with it being in default now and even just before I was told my rates would actually go up about 3%. I don't think I could sell it for as much as I paid for it and I've only had it less than 2 years. Also I have a second morgage from the seller which is behind. I'd like to just walk away from it and let them take it but I don't really know what would happen. I just can't keep it up. Please if you know anything about this give me your advice. I really don't want to have to contact "this agency" or "that agency" or anything like that though. I don't like the house, area, or school and just want to get away from it all as soon as possible.

Last fall, my husband and I went to a modular home dealer and we were supposed to be getting a home/land package deal. The land is almost 3 acres. Total, the whole thing was around $200K. The land was $45K. That was supposed to include EVERYTHING from the appliances to the driveway and the initial clearing of the land and the driveway finished.
Nothing has gone right. The dealer lied to us repeatedly, will not take our calls, our home is not safe to live in (we are not in it) they have stopped work, they had my husband sign blank papers, and later they withdrew all but two thousand dollars and said the build was 90% done, when NOTHING was done, and I have all the permits that were dated a month after.
Our home was damaged when it was brought in, there are things missing that we ordered, we did not get a proper contract and I don't know what else I have forgotten over the year.
I cannot find a lawyer to take my case because no one knows what to do about it.

I listened to one person about what i write in the memo line. If its a rent check, write the apt. number. If its a telephone bill, credit card, write your account number.
But i think that i have been wasting my time. What i mean is can i just write rent, credit card payment, or utilities expense, or whatever i want?

By the way, for the apt. im talking about a building with 24 floors, just to let you know.

has any of you ever been in a relationship with someone who isn't mature enough, who thinks childishly ...and that the more you invest yourself in the relationship, the more you see , that you start to integrate a part of her thinking style in yourself...? and if it happens that you breakup with that person, the post effect remains , and you take a little while before you retrieve yourself back (sometimes months)

My daughter grew up with her mother. Her side of the family is very poor. My parents were college professors. My mom is now quite wealthy.

I'm considering giving my 2001 Ranger to my daughter when she graduates from college in May and moves to Santa Rosa, CA.

My mother is against it. She feels that my daughter should get a job first. I think that having dependable transportation makes getting a good job much easier.

What do you think?

I lacerated my finger while on the job and had to have surgery on it. Now I am off work for two weeks. Can anybody tell me what happens next? What happens if I never get the feeling back in my finger? Is workmans comp going to reimburse me for all of my time? I have never had to do this before so maybe somebody can tell me what I need to do from experience, I appreciate any help you can give me, thanks.

I am open to up to four years of college, no more. I'm looking for a job that pays no less than 100,000 bucks per/yr. I am really into Language arts and sports. I don't want a job that requires a lot of paperwork, but I want something indoors. I'd love a high-paying job that includes both L.A. and sports but one or the other would be fine for me. I also love to interact with people 1-on-1. My first career option was the Psychiatry field, but that's way to much schooling for me. I hope you all can help me find some clarity for this issue.

So I want to rent a house and I will not be going to a property management. But how do I know that the person I am renting the house from really owns the home? Is there anything I can do to verify that? Is this kind of fraud a common problem? Is it a problem at all?

I applied at FedEX today, I really want the job, becuase they pay really good money for a college student. Should I call them tommorow and see what they say? My dad manages a hardware store and he said call the next day. He says if someone calls him, he'll ask them for an interview. I just don't want to be annoying.

What do they teach in business schools today? Ethics? Long-term vision? Conviction?

Funny how Toyota's good fortune came by sheer LUCK...lucky enough to realize that profits will ALWAYS come as a function of quality, not gimmicks.

But at least you might get a $210,000,000 severence package for being shown the door...now THAT's vision, eh?
